I'd definitely be somewhat open to bringing back Braun in a lesser role for lower money but don't know if he would do that. I don't really want him blocking a younger player including Haag.

if he continue his play he will fetch a multi year deals around 2.0-2.5, that prices the Flyers out.

Depends what other moves they make.

I'm just happy that he's earned it (so far) by being good, as opposed to Nick Schultz being "not terrible" like the rest of the defense that year.

very true, we can all agree that the Flyers went from the AMAC phase of bandaid roster to young and develop roster.

Now don't you go and do something foolish like give Hexfail credit. That's looked down 'round these here parts.

Actually I was thinking he would get a little higher. I'd like to see younger players take on a bigger bite.

it was 100% an overpay

How do you figure? Look at what teams are paying now? 2nd and a prospect for a few months of a 37 year old Andy Greene

A 2nd and a 3rd got us a full season of a 33 year old Dman. I consider Braun to be a better Dman than Andy Greene.

I dont think that has been an option since a year or 2 ago. GMs will want Ghost as a reclamation project sure but you would be selling low.

I think Braun gets a two or three year deal around 3.2-3.75. Similar to what he is making now. Maybe more. Don’t see less unless it is with a top contender and he’s trying to win

I hear la and flyers have been scouting each other. I know every team is this time of year but Ron hex is working with them again. He took weak from la. Think he may target one of his picks. Maybe O’Brien. Any thoughts. Would anybody even want anything from la. Speculation was tofoili

Friedman comes to mind, too. He looked pretty good in his cups of coffee.

Toronto wont get desperate unless the Panthers start to win, would like to see them both lose but stay tight, then maybe either would trade at market. Kapenen is not having a great season either.

We walked to the sea
Just my father and me
And the dogs played around on the sand
Winter cold cut the air
Hangin' still everywhere
Dressed in gray, did he say hold my hand

I said, love's easier when it's far away
We sat and watched the distant light

We're two ships that pass in the night
We both smile and we say it's alright
We're still here, it's just that we're out of sight
Like those ships that pass in the night

There's a boat on the line
Where the sea meets the sky
There's another that rides far behind
And it seems you and I
Are like strangers, a wide ways apart
As we drift on through time

He said, it's harder now, we're far away
We only read you when you write

We're two ships that pass in the night
And we smile when we say it's alright
We're still here, it's just that we're out of sight
Like those ships that pass in the night

So do we start Hart at home and start Elliot on Thursday on the road? Or go with Hart in both games?

Thoughts?

He works for LA, but Hexy has a house in South Florida and Panthers games are his scouting home base. No different than Mark Howe working for Detroit but having Flyers games as his home base because he lives in NJ.

People make too much out of which team(s) have scouts in the building on a given night.

Start Elliot at home and decide who goes Thursday after practice on Wednesday - go against the grain

was being serious - I feel like Hart could use some time on the bench to get his hunger back

Hart and Hart. Big games....Like that the first one is at home, then looking to see playoff Torts with cannon loaded. Got to be ready to play both games with no 1st period warmup. One at a time...win tomorrow!
