We're going to have to see if the trade is real or not, obviously. But the only good reason to trade now and not during draft/offseason is because the return has to be something excellent, right? Fitz did well on the Greene trade so let's see how he did on Coleman.

Fitz does well on his first trade. Quenville might amount to AHL depth/help. But a second, even next year is fine.

It was with Lou and he always loved Greene and probably overpaid for it and Greene being captain probably increased the price, you can't trade your captain for peanuts

I think there's also some kind of false value given to defensive defensemen even if they're mediocre (Greene is alright, but point stands). The Lovejoy trade comes to mind.
