Be nice if Merkley could make Hayden a press box regular.

The way Anderson and Merkley are playing no reason to see Hayden the rest of the year

Sounds like Blake Coleman has been traded to Tampa Bay.

Well, the problem is that Hayden will draw back in once more roster players are traded.

better be a freaking great return. Not every day you get a 25g scorer that is one of the toughest guys on your roster. We're now tissue paper for our "rebuild". But I know.. hockey isn't a physical sport and your skin and bones 20 and under future don't need protection. except it is. tissue paper.

In exchange for Coleman, the Devils get prospect Nolan Foote and Vancouver's first-round pick which Tampa got in the J.T. Miller trade

1st plus prospect that I know nothing about. It's a fine trade.

Oof that hurts. I love Coleman. Watch this will be the year Tampa wins the cup and that first, I presume we're getting, becomes 31st.

Nolan Foote is a decent prospect, the first will likely be very late in the round though. Doesn’t seem worth making the move.

Nolan Foote better be the 2nd coming of Scott Stevens. Forgive me if I have Coleman and Palmieri in high high value.. even if they're, heaven forbid, over 27!! gasp!

Just saw it’s Vancouver’s first. Time to root for the Nucks to fall like Arizona.

Canucks will get bounced in the first round though, it's fine. ~18th pick is fine.

It's not. This sets us back, not forward.. like at all. Coleman just finished developing.. and now we sell him for a 31st overall pick and another mediocre prospect.

This is how you stay mediocre forever. Coleman wasn't a mediocre player, even if he didn't put up 60pts.

He’s a wing. His dad was a great defender though, lol.

I dont mind this return at all. Vancouver's 1st could still be a decent pick, and Foote will be a top 9 NHLer imo

I love Coleman more than almost anything but this is an awesome return. I'm all for it.

Will write about this tomorrow but Foote is a true power forward with good hands and an absolute cannon of a shot. A 1st is a 1st.

Coleman has turned into a helluva player but if you told me a year ago the Devils could get this for Coleman I'd never have believed you.

I'm actually very ok with that return as much as I love Coleman. I'm pretty high on Foote. He could be a force with Hughes or Hischier. 6'4 and knows how to use his size and shot.

first and Foote is a nice haul. Was hoping for more, but seriously, Coleman just got us that? remarkable.

Yup I have to agree. Foote becomes our best forward prospect behind Hughes.

This is as good or better than expected. 1st and a prospect except the first is mid round and the prospect is great.

It's Vancouver's pick, stop female doging lol. Also the Foote kid is the exact kind of player you love. Tall and strong. How can you be angry about this.

I like Foote, would’ve preferred a defender back but the price on D prospects is ludicrously high.
