I know it was a pick next year and probably had the the "in division tax", but if Greene gets us a 2nd i dont see why Vats cant get us a 1st, or atleast a 2nd and solid prospect. Just gotta hope this injury hes dealing with doesnt lower his value at all

With this many picks I can see them trying to draft Askarov the young Russian goalie if Coyotes miss and don't win the lottery. That's my hope.

After realizing Coleman is 28... it probably was the right time to trade him, but NJ looks like it's rebuilding all over again.

I would imagine Vats gets a 1st back or at least a B prospect as teams run out of options the price should go up. Not sure what the return for Simmonds would be though. Teams seem to value the veteran-ness and grit factor for the playoffs, but he doesn’t add much else. Maybe a 4th round pick?

Two more years at $9 mil and another year older, I’ve got a feeling Subban is with us for the duration. Trading Coleman with a year left probably means Palmieri is also available for the right price. I’m happy with the returns he is getting but still sucks to see these players leaving.

The last few years when we were dumping the likes of Ben Lovejoy, etc. was fun. Watching Greene, Coleman, probably Vatanen and possibly Palmieri makes this feel like a complete overhaul.
