Zadina is a good player but man oh man top flight dmen are pretty much impossible to get and they change everything. Elite center elite dman figure the rest out cause your ginna be real good for a while

I liked how Zadina worked on his weaknesses in Grand Rapids and improved his overall game. He has high end skill so if he can keep that strong work ethic he'll be a very good player for a long time. Still would've rather had Hughes but we can't do anything about it now. We need Zadina to be a big part of this rebuild.

Taking Zadina over hughes was such a huge error on Hollands part. Zadina may end up being a very good player but Quinn is a top offensive puck moving dman. Big miss

Not knocking Hughes but would he look as good right now playing with the Wings? I'm not sure he would. Not with this defense, this coach, these goalies and this forward group. Hell Blashill would probably use him to kill penalties with no PP time and pair him with Green to make sure his confidence is gone by the time he's played 20 games.

How much better could Zadina look playing on Vancouver? Wings have one decent offensive center on the roster and not many good playmaking forwards. The defense rarely can make a tape to tape pass...all they do is flip the puck up to center, pass the puck 2 feet off the ice, put the puck in the forwards skates or behind him.
