Well considering Coleman went for a top prospect and a 1st, I'm sure the Ducks would love that return. Not sure who would pay that much for Henrique though. 5.8 AAV for 4 more years. Yikes.
Would be fantastic if the Leafs could find a sucker team out there to take Kerfoot and/or Johnsson for a top prospect and a 1st. |

Henrique would look great in Montreal đ |

I think their problem with the chip idea is that every puck would become a lot more expensive and it might change the way the puck moves, bounces, freezes, the weight of the puck etc.
I'd rather they not screw with the puck and just have cameras that can see as much as possible from as many angles as possible. - JohnFergusonJr
That technology is not expensive... (rfidâs)
This is a league where they break 400 $ sticks like its a bodily function... |

It's pretty expensive when you consider 31 (soon 32) teams play 82 games each and they use anywhere from 12-22 pucks a game. Plus playoffs.
Then the players want to use the same pucks in practice so it doesn't mess with their passing / shooting so that's even more pucks they need to buy.
Sticks are paid for by the companies that manufacture the sticks so John E. Hockeyfan goes out and spends 400 bucks. Who is going to go buy pucks with chips in them? |

Nylander, Kerfoot, Johnsson, Barrie and Dermott.
That's what we got to work with to bring in a real top pair RHD and a 2nd pair RHD. |

Although I do think it was a goal and we were lucky, the issue with this picture is perspective. The puck is in the air 2 feet, and this camera distorts the perspective with a curved lense. You cannot tell were the âplainâ of goal line is in mid air in the picture to confirm if its over that plain or not... got it? - Hockey_Reverend
FALSE. camera is not a curved lense. and the puck is clear over the line, you guys would still say it's inconclusive if the puck rolled all the way into his (frank)ing glove, homers. |

Who said they'd be enough themselves to get it done? They're assets that can be used in a package to get things done... depending on the return, of course. |

Player, puck tracking data will enhance fan experience, Daly says
https://www.nhl.com/news/...tracking-data/c-314774690
"...The stats we think are most interesting today may change a year from now, two years from now once we see how the technology evolves. But I think we're generally very excited about it. I think our partners are excited about it. Most importantly, I think our fans are excited about it. We're looking forward to testing it for the balance of the season and on an every-game basis during the playoffs."
NHLâs Puck And Player Tracking Technology Tested In All-Star Game; Set To Be Up And Running For Playoffs
https://www.forbes.com/si...or-playoffs/#7897ccb5cb57
"... the technology that will feature sensors inside the pucks and on the playerâs uniforms will produce data collected by antennas located in the arena as well as from optical sensors located on the ice."
It's about time. When teams bought up all the advanced stat sites, and people, a while back, it left a gaping blind spot for the fans. The information the public gets from this won't be as thorough as the teams do from proprietary means, but at least it's an improvement from the fans perspective. |

If it was so (frank)ing "clear" and over the line then why the (frank) didn't video review turn the call on the ice over? |

your eyes must be messed up... because the entire puck has to be over the red line
even with UG/JFJ's piss poor attempt to edit a picture the puck still remains on the line
and in the end - does it matter.
the puck heads in Toronto ruled it no goal. - BorjeFan4Ever
the puck is over the red line, homer. the goalie pad and leg are in the net and the puck is sitting on his thigh full over the line and you actually see it roll over the line and into behind his pad on to his leg. the end, bye. |

Because they made a mistake. That's the whole point. Leafs fans complained that they made mistakes one way but can't acknowledge that they made mistakes both ways. |
