Isn't that just as damning on the d-zone coverage and lack of structure?
I would like to see some analytics on;

- Turnovers on zone clearing/outlet passes
- Opposition d-zone possession time
- Percentage of missed d-zone clearing chances
- Rebound control / possession percentage.

The wingers fly the zone too early. It's too easy for opposition to pass the puck around the boards and to the point. Leafs need better structure and anticipation to intercept and disrupt cycles. It's not just about the goalie or other individual positions being better defensively.

Likely OTT didn't want to deal within the division. I am sure the Panthers, Lighting and Leafs would of all done that.

It's not all on the goaltending, but Andersen has been struggling.. Often, a goal scored against is the result of a forward or defenseman doing something wrong.

With that said, every team makes mistakes at 5 on 5, not just the Leafs.. Look at the save % of some of the teams below us in the standings.. If we got league average save %, we'd be a lot better

I think this will be the year that they realize it's dead in the way it's done now. Time to change it up. I would be fine if the show started at noon.
