Took me less time to make that GIF using Paint than it did for them to review the goal. You'd think with the millions of dollars they have they could have figured out how to track and highlight the puck from that angle. It's obviously over the line, not by a lot but enough. Maybe they didn't have their reading glasses on.

The point is the referees make "mistakes" both ways. Fans want to cry about a penalty call one way, well, there's clear evidence that shows the Sabres lost an early goal. In the end, the harder working, better playing team won.

The Leafs lost because of their own play and effort, not because of the referees.

Without engaging that obvious troll putz... The basis of the rule is that you have to be able to see white ice between the puck and the goal line (both of which you also have to visibly see).

The ability to see all 3 components removes the ability for camera angles, shadows, gear, etc to factor into a possible outcome.

Does the idea that you can't draw in lines into a freeze frame and say a blob blending in with gear is the puck when you can't even see the (frank)ing line let alone ice in between... Actually have to be explained?
