#Isles Barry Trotz stops a 2-on-1 drill and emphatically makes the point that attackers have to make quicker decisions and shoot quicker. Demonstrates if a player comes in, stickhandles too much, allows the goalie to read the play and shoots from the circle, he’ll never score. - ses111
Trotz has been reading our posts again. |

This was the kind of move I was hoping for defense wise and for our 2nd and potentially first coming into play for a forward. I know we used next years 2nd but that all but eliminates this years in a deep draft. Not giving it up two consecutive years... - Cptmjl
I know not telling you anything you don't already know, but that's all dependent on who the player is. If they were able to get someone that was good, I'm sure he'll move this year's pick too.
I'm probably about as big a draft nerd as there is in this thread and also probably one of the more conservative guys when it comes to trading picks...but if you told me we could land someone like Labanc or Kase for this year's 2nd and Otto Koivula...I'd be 100% on board. |

Not Lee, that’s for certain. He’s one of the few Islanders who’s been firing the puck consistently. |

The Canadiens have acquired St. Louis’ second-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft (and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2021), in exchange for defenseman Marco Scandella.
That's hilariously bad for St. Louis |

Per Moscow Dynamo head coach Vladimir Krikunov Dmitrij Jaskin has 2 NHL offers. 303 NHL games veteran (mostly in Blues uniform) is the KHL leading goal-scorer. He has 62 (30+35) points in 55 games being +35. Worth to mention he plays alongside Vadim Shipachyov, best KHL playmaker |

https://www.sportsnet.ca/...-trade-vancouver-canucks/
4. This is good news for the Rangers, who continue to both negotiate with and generate the market for Chris Kreider. Teams I think are interested: Boston, Colorado, New York Islanders and St. Louis (there could be more, obviously).
I think Washington GM Brian MacLellan made a stealth move to see if he could get in on Kreider, but the Dillon trade probably takes him out of it.
10. It is rare that top-six centres become available, but Florida’s Vincent Trocheck is generating attention. Age 26, two more years at under $5 million — teams can handle that. Won’t be inexpensive. Trocheck rushed back as quickly as possible from an ankle injury last season, and there is debate about how much mobility that may have cost him. But, again, guys like him aren’t often acquirable.
Trocheck should probably be priority #1 for the Isles, if he's available |
