I'm looking forward to watching Pageau Cpt. I did not think Lou would let another deadline go without making a move. Players need to get it done now. Lou got them help.

I’m concerned with him not having a contract but hopefully we can sell him on the idea of sticking around in the interim. We have a decent run it’ll only help our cause. I really think Pageau can help this team a great deal if he maintains his level of play.

I want a 90 plus point player a year to go along tip Barzal.

I think with the right linemate, Barzy could hit 90. He could really use a linemate with a quick release. Barzal is so good at drawing players with him, creating time and space, that a winger with a sniper's shot would be lethal

PHI had interest in J-G Pageau but was not prepared to pay the price NYI paid, so if the Flyers were to get Thompson, it’s more of a depth move:

Isles fans would have gone full tilt if FLyers got Pagaue.

Flyers got Thompson for a 5th

Listen he’s definitely the best player on this team and potentially can be top 5 in the league but right now imo he’s a 2nd line center. I hope he picks up his game defensively and offensively and proves me wrong as the season progresses.

They start playing great now and go on a run into the playoffs with our now better depth with Pageau’s addition anything can happen.

The flyers have a lot more talent up front so the isles needed pageau more than the flyers.

I'd say that top line was good even in the loses recently they were generating chances left and right and hit a lot of posts. They are getting it going

This is the player I wanted to get all along I’m happy he’s an islander. That’s a lot to give up of course. Would’ve been happier if it were a 2023 so we at least had a second rounder in the next draft which is from what I’m hearing extremely deep but oh well I don’t value picks as much as some. Is what it is. With all of this said if we can get him locked up to a somewhat reasonable deal I’m a happy fan. That’s the main thing that’ll make this trade a great one as everyone already mentioned.

I’m pretty ecstatic to have this guy on our team. I think he can potentially help us a lot. He was a thorn in the Rangers side a few years ago in the semis. Good playoff player and checks every box for what we need. Super excited to see him play and hopefully I’m right about what he can do for our team. Had a feeling old man Lou was going to come through today.

Agreed. Steep price but you can’t have it both ways. We all wanted Lou to add. He did. I think he added a player that can potentially help us a lot.
