As a Canes fan I am mad about this trade. Many Canes fans wanted Gauthier on the NHL roster this season. He is a power forward that has a higher ceiling than Foegele. Enjoy him. I watched him play some at Charlotte. You got yourself a good player in that trade. I don't know much about the D-man coming back to Carolina but there is good depth at D in Charlotte that could have been brought up. I have a feeling GM Waddell is keeping that talent in Charlotte to protect it from the expansion draft.  |
