He was a total puke for sure. At least current puke can score, Marchment had almost no tangible value other than trying to hurt other players. - 2sticks1puck
BAD quality here but this was a nice little exchange between Marchment & Mike Gartner...Pierre Maguire btw with hair as Whalers Coach here
Trade scenarios are great : realistic i think not ,GET REAL...
reading the state of NYR in its strenghts & weaknesses section on B B .. you realize we only have Krastov in pipeline to step up realistically next yr BUT with an intro later this yr in March if out.
Barron & Hendrickson & such are 2 yrs away & would be true rooks then ...
IF we trade out Krieds(next capt. in 20 21 ) or Strome or Buhcny maybe not Fast ,(re signing in summer )we are committing vet presence suicide .
Knowing Howden- Lemeuix make up 2/3 of 4th line thats got possibles going fwd.
we got nothing coming in to fill the gaping slots & pressure it would put on the 1st yr & rooks to step up.No one fills Krieds -Strome slots till maybe F A ? & then its more of a lateral move
Trades are coming out of the D section : return is for top 6 wing/center
If they trade Skjei maybe A dA will go to left side or Rykov gets the call
Skjei for Trchek + pick ?
A dA could get a pretty pkg ?
or another of the so called elite D prospects ?
Hank Staal Smith are cap helpers if they or the teams hunting choose - NASHTYGUY
Thats part of a rebuild. Trade out old vets for younger players. We will still have Trouba, Panarin and Mika as veteran presence. You can even throw in Igor since he played high pressure games in the KHL.
What we dont have is a player who has gone deep in the playoffs to teach the younger players what to expect. Im sure that player will be added when we start competing for a Cup in a few years.

Such a doosh.
Pierre - Fenrir
I believe Hartford was his only Head Coaching gig. He loves to talk about when he was Scotty Bowman's AC in Pittsburgh but I think a German shepherd COULD HAVE BEEN Bowman's assistant and the team still been successful.

lol yup. Even then he was a douche, don't forget Pierre had to give up half his pay for basically being a double agent for Edmonton.
At 50% retained Hank would only cost a club 2.25 of actual money next year (he’s owed 4.5) but 4.25 in cap space. I think a team could find some value in that for a playoff run. COL? The question is whether he’d be willing to waive his NMC or not. The healthy scratches have to be getting to him though.

When the Canes hosed their "Whalers Night" promotion last year they invited McGuire to talk about his time with the club.
he made up some bullpoop story about how he and Kevin Dineen used a road trip to get the team back on track. It took all of about 10 minutes for people to google the schedule and realize that his story could not have possibly happened.
