@PierreVLeBrun
Hearing the Canucks tried the last few days on Wayne Simmonds in NJ but couldn’t make it work cap-wise, perhaps because Brock Boeser could return before the end of the regular season. So as of now, the Simmonds option not as likely for Van...

Yeah only 50%. Their cap situation is pretty (frank)ed and no way we're taking Erikson back. |

The way the new cap structure work, you can't bury the entire contract in the minors anymore. So even if he is there he still counts for ~5mil toward the cap. |

The same guy from TSN Vancouver who initially tweeted about the Canucks interest in Simmonds a few days ago just tweeted out that he's heard if Simmonds isnt moved in the next day or so that the Canucks could re-visit it. |

My guess from what I've heard is that there might be a disagreement over the value of a contract dump. Didn't really make sense for someone like Woo to be involved otherwise. |

Yeah i agree, i think they'll eventually get something done by Monday if Simmer isnt gone by the time the Canucks come back around. From what's been reported theres been 2-3 other teams in on him besides just Vancouver, so we'll see |

so glad that our team was so rich on offense that we could afford to scratch Bratt for no reason. |

He'll definitely be traded, the thought of getting someone like Woo is probably getting my hopes too high though |

And proceeded to not get a single high danger scoring chance. Brilliant stuff from Nas. |

I agree, I think we make 2 more trades, maybe a 3rd if Domingue clears waivers tomorrow. And I dont blame you lol, i just get excited seeing all these rumors all over twitter around the deadline. This weekend should be fun as it starts to ramp up |

After tonights win, we have played at a 99 point pace with Blackwood in net. Without him we're playing at a 35 point pace.... Thats absurd. Its not a huge news flash but we need a backup in the worst way in the offseason, that stat is just ridiculous |

The one saving grace this year is Blackwood establishing himself as a clear number 1. You can just see the confidence grow. |

I’m with you on this. I don’t think you can trust Cory as a backup no matter what how he looks. That has really screwed us two years in a row.
It’s fine to do this now because this season is over but NO for next year. This team really needs reliable goaltending not to be a complete dumpster fire. - Queenie_5_hole
I'm fully expecting a dumpster fire next year barring Hughes turning into Crosby.. |

Marty played 70 games. Blackwood is probably in better shape. I say clip his wings and let Blackwood fly |

There isn't much point in giving Blackwood a heavy workload for this season but I am curious how Blackwood would hold up. I think physically he'd be fine. Mentally who knows? Marty was a remarkable workhorse but I doubt he was facing as many shots as the Devils allow now. |

I remember the days when in the playoffs we would hold teams to like 3-5 shots per period. That was insane. I think it was the 2000 playoffs. |
