no way... we can complain/comment about what he does/doesn't do... I'm not saying what Simmons is doing is correct...

this isn't a disaster, the team "structure/makeup" has flaws... i.e. its missing pieces... but its not a flaw or disaster like Simmons is saying.

last year a bunch of of the Leafs played well/very well - and a number of those guys aren't having "as good" years..

couple that with some bets that Dubas made ... the back-up goalie Hutch play, Barrie/Kerfoot... these were good risks to take... but they didn't turn out well...

the mistake WILL BE continuing to wait for those situations to automagically rectify themselves, and Dubas did wait too long to address the back-up goalie situation.

get busy fixing it.

one of the thing Dubas CAN do is re-coup some asset(s) for Barrie.

It's weird all the random depth trades are happening well ahead of the deadline. I guess because they don't really matter it doesn't matter when they occur.

I definitely would love a Cleveland Browns deadline deal. If you're unaware, a couple years ago they made a deal at the end and due to celebrating getting the back up QB they forgot to send the trade into the league office and missed the deadline and thus didn't seal the deal.
