It's also a very poor PK with very little faith in itself. They don't know how to pressure the puck carrier effectively nor do they block lanes well. I don't really know what you call that. It's not a proper box. It's not pressure. It's . . .like zig zagging and scrambling.

The PK has been kinda poop for years, but when they're at their best, they are pressuring the points and being aggressive. Again, confidence is affecting all facets of play, right down to the goaltender.

This.

If I'm going to blame anything on Andersen (aside from not being as good as he has been), it's that I wish he'd control the puck better. He rarely catches it. He rarely freezes it. He rarely controls it in close where he CAN freeze it. That's certainly another part of his game that hurts their ability to PK and control the play in the D-Zone.

Which allows more shots that he has to save. Making everyone complain about how many shots we give up...

You should describe how brilliant Andersen was on each and every shot. You got a great deal of respect last time you wasted your time with similar derp.

lmao

perimeter willi is the answer 👍

there’s a reason they ended up getting such a “great “ contract for him after his bullpoop holdout 🤦‍♂️

he wouldn’t hurt a fly for his buddies or even to get the puck 🤦‍♂️

just watch him on film instead of being dazzled by his highlights 🤦🏾‍♂️

he’s getting pointz for himself tho🥰

this ain’t sweden son🤦‍♂️

hit the weightpile and adapt to the North American game like Sundin did 👍

#firedubass

#firequeef

edit: nice alliteration 👍

I do believe curiosity is a strong asbergers trait.

Well let me tell you little buddy, doctors don't cure people with asbergers, because if cannot be cured. So, no. 🤦‍♂️

I thought the strategy was to give up the point and low danger shots while protecting in tight so they would have to shoot from further out, but then somehow the opposition often gets shots or tips from in close anyways...
- Thecakeisalie

Yeah, I *thought* that was the strategy as well. It's clearly not working.

Last year you'd see Marner get the puck at the blue and peel away on an offensive chance on a regular basis. This year that has not been happening. Engvall has a few times, and the same with Mikheyev and Kapanen, but more infrequently. Even Hyman hasn't done it as much. So I think the forwards are collapsed lower than previously, and it's giving the other team's points too much room and too much time. While very goals are scored FROM there, lots of assists happen from there, so you still need to get out there and pressure them.

No, I am not referring to your wet dream last night.

I am talking about the time you exceeded even YOUR lofty heights of idiocy and wrote a comical piece where you tried to disprove my facts with your biased opinions, to everyone's amusement.

His "long NHL career" will exist on talk radio. He doesn't have the temperament.

Here we are at game 60 . . .and I remember in preseason watching him bull the puck through people and thinking, "He's finally found his style!". Then we saw it happen one more time around game 8.
