Agree, when you outshoot an opponent 27 to 16 and are losing 5-0 and you have allowed more five hole goals than any nhl goalie, maybe need a little better out of your goalie team member.

To be fair, to that one game, you can only really fault him for the 5th goal against |

Thankfully he is lowering his value so much that Dubas will only be able to offer him 10mil a season for 8 years instead of 13.

100 bucks for every goal allowed? Seems fair. |

does the 'man-games lost' statistic count him the same as marchand?
we need an 'adjusted-man-games-lost' stat. I need to adjust my spreadsheets and vba routines, (frank) |

I don't think they care about their theoretical points pace. Probably they want to win some games to get into the playoffs |

Babs best was 105 over 82.
So we'll see how keefe does over a full season. |
|
|
|
If they're really serious about putting the work in, the playoffs starts tonight because they have no other choice to play every game now like it's an elimination game, and even then it still could come down to game 82. No pressure! |

how about we look at another way then:
babs - 23 games:
9-10-4 for 22 points, 78 point pace.
keefe - last 23 games:
11-8-4 for 26 points, 93 point pace.
lose tonight our our last 23 games will look almost identical to our first 23 games. |

And a goalie... - Steven_Seagull
Andersen has been subpar for what we've come to expect from him. The first 4 goals in that game are not on him at all. On Saturday, we probably should have been down 3-0 after the first period against Buffalo, but he kept it at 0-0.
Andersen has not been good, but the expectation that he alone can save this crapstorm that's blowing (or is that just sucking?) in front of him isn't fair.
The injuries have pushed guys into roles they probably shouldn't be in, but they can all be better, and have all been better than they've been of late. |

My point was that once Freddy reads my post he's going to swell up with positive energy ....so much positive energy that he (and me) will probably have to go full Reese Mcguire during the post-game interview. - The Law

Okay, but let's at least compare baskets fairly:
Babs:
Hyman missed 19 games
Dermott missed 13 games
Tavares missed 7 games
Kerfoot missed 3 games, but played a few with that full visor that seemed to cause him some problems.
Marner missed 5 games
Moore missed 2 games
Keefe:
Mikheyev missed 22 games
Rielly missed 15 games
Muzzin missed 10 games
Johnsson missed 10 games
Ceci missed 7 games
Andersen missed 3 games
Nylander missed 2 games
They have not played well, and there's a lot they have to do to improve their play, but they have missed some critical pieces on the back-end, and some significant top-9 depth. |
