Still didn't think PIT had their A game. It was a B game for them. Like I said, they're 22-4-5 at home, so go figure we can't beat them there. I'd still say the road wins in STL and DAL were their best games of the season.

And this game means poop if they don't win on Saturday. Absolutely no excuses. A division birth isn't the only path to the playoffs and CAR is right in their lane.

Let's see what they can do.

- AngryWhiteMale

Tough to say whether they had their 'A' game or not. The Leafs were all over them and worked as hard as them all over the ice.

Crazy what happens when the leafs play D and are good in their end
- Fakepartofme

Andersen good on the PK at the end of the first and the Leafs looked like a whole different team to start the second.

Leafs wouldn’t let them play their A game.

Let's hope the Flyers can beat CBJ in regulation.

Any team can do that once. Only the great teams can do it consistently. Takes time and maturity. When Babcock use to preach "professionalism", that's what he was talking about.

They probably have to win 11-13 out of their remaining games and they got a lot more games against playoff teams than non-playoff teams so this performance is going to have to repeat itself many, many more times.

- JohnFergusonJr

Well yes, that's basically what I said. If they could do this consistently, they'd be a great team.

Babs can go suck a Babcock.

They are still a young core. Hopefully the consistency will come.

My point was that you typically get PIT's 'A' game when it's in Pittsburgh. They're a good road team, but not unbeatable.

Yeah, a good game for him. Hope this gets his swagger back a bit and we see more of this type of play from him. We need more secondary scoring.

Yes, because I was agreeing with you.

Babcock's time ran out but his message was the right one.

Young team that needs to learn some lessons and add some good veterans. Not Spezza / Marleau veterans. Actual Cup winning veterans. Obviously on the cheap.

Wonder if we could pry Petry out of MTL.

Rielly-Petry
Muzzin-Holl
Sandin-Dermott

I do think Dermott's probably gone though if they resign Muzzin.
