I said the same thing when I left Brandon was that I should have went to more junior games. I saw a 1/4 of the season usually but probably could have seen a few more.

I'd really like to go to more games but that's probably years from now. Game starts at 7 pm. Second period is over at 830 ish and with an hour drive home. Baby will be grumpy as heck.

Can't forget about the 2 dance classes on friday nights for the 9 year old. I doubt they will stop for her anytime soon.

Aha, see the key is to turn the kids into hockey fans as young as possible so you can just bring them along

Flyers model only according to Lefty. Haven't won poop but that's the best model to follow.

Hearing the Canucks tried the last few days on Wayne Simmonds in NJ but couldn’t make it work cap-wise, perhaps because Brock Boeser could return before the end of the regular season. So as of now, the Simmonds option not as likely for Van...

After failing to report to the Rochester Americans earlier this month, Zach Bogosian was suspended without pay by the Buffalo Sabres. That took him off the books in regards to the team’s cap, but still didn’t solve anything for the player. According to Darren Dreger of TSN, Bogosian will now be placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of a contract termination. While that will void the remaining money on his current contract, it does make Bogosian an unrestricted free agent and able to sign with another team

--------------------
Pretty simple to get rid of LE's contract for next season. Other teams are doing it

- manvanfan

But do we have to wait until next season to do it? We need his cap hit gone during the off season.

If we could send SB the other way with something small, I would do this. Then tell Loui he can retire after the season in the NHL, or be sent to Utica now.

I've crunched the numbers. No cap issues as long as you give away Beagle and Roussel.

If the Oilers make the playoffs Leon Draisaitl is gonna win the Hart Trophy over McDavid, just realized he has 95 points already, ten game winning goals.
- LeftCoaster

Called Draisaitl at the beginning of the season for MVP...many of the 'experts' here didn't agree lol

Loui is done. Solves so many problems! Barrie and Toffoli will be signing here and everyone will mock Vintsy all season
- CanuckDon

If that happens I will never call you stupid again! But for now, you’re probably the stupidest person I “know”

It only works when the player is willing to walk away from guaranteed salary. I imagine Bogo is more interested in getting another chance to prove he can play in the nhl this season than collecting his last third of his 5M deal in the AHL.

I'm not sure Eriksson will be willing.

Only after they'd drafted their core. Which to my point about the Flyers is, something they never really had to do to stay competitive.

Never ever said that...ever, I in fact said their motto was to trade picks and always be competitive, something that doesn't work in today's cap era game. They are the opposite of what you should follow. Only under Hextall did they start to once again build their own system.

Boston got rid of Backes, cost them a prospect, who was a 2nd rounder, and a 2020 1st round pick, but they did get a 24 year old 11 goal scorer back. Scored 20 a few years ago.

Eriksson is owed 8M in real dollars after this season, 5M after his bonus is paid.

No way he agrees to terminate his contract, I also have no doubt that the league would punish Canucks retroactively.
