Watching these playoff races is like the final 8 (plus) laps of the Daytona 500. You just know there is a huge wreck coming. |

Minny isn't as bad as everyone thinks, you have to play hard against them. |

That is the Canucks issue, they don’t play a hard game, it hopefully will come , but they check with their sticks, they rarely take the body. |

I agree. Pretty sure, the problem lies in the systems, not just Green, but WD coached the same way.
I believe they have coached the physicality out of the players.
Just my opinion. |

Avs are just going to skate by everyone with Mackinnon and Newhook - manvanfan
Happy with Podkolzin, but, would have been thrilled if we got Newhook.
I wanted Fabbro, back in 2016, as well.
Oh well. |

I'm quite happy with Podkolzin. I can't find my rankings from last season. I think my 1 year old disliked them and thought it best to destroy them. I know Podkolzin was my 7th and Connor McMichael my 8th.
Fabbro only in his first full season. Some room to grow still. Not someone I would have taken at 5th in that draft but he looks better than Van's pick. |

When it comes to defensemen I prefer a safe pick, glad I have been wrong on Hughes though, this team has needed a defenseman like him, forever. - Reubenkincade
Nobody threw a bit tantrum over the Hughes pick. Had him as the highest ranked defensemen in that draft but I really wanted a minute munching RHD.
Team did really need scoring from the defence. The team still really does need a big RHD even more to compliment Hughes.
Seabrook to Keith. Tanev and Myers just aren't it.
Josh Manson would be perfect.
Hughes Manson
Edler Tanev
That's a top 4 that could do well. |

I am fine with Hughes-Tanev, they play well together.
Would like to see a Manson type, on the back end. |

Play well together vs an ideal pairing.
I'm a bit surprised that they haven't tried harder to find some more RHD in the draft. There's a few good options in the first and second round of this years draft. |

I wonder if a Barrie Edler combo would be good? You see when QH plays the the team mostly has puck possession . I wonder if we could have two pairings like that? |

There are a couple rhd, playing in bchl, Dahl and the Ontario equivalent that should be available in 3rd round or later.

Edler isn't a defensive defencemen though. He needs someone to be smart enough to clean up his shin pad shots. Barrie will not do that.
Edler isn't going to cover up the many defensive lapses of Barrie. |
