They could trade Petry and acquire a journeyman veteran D in the offseason, not having anyone to step in for Petry shouldn't be a reason to not deal him during a rebuild... and certainly not a reason to re-sign him to a ludicrous long term deal as he's sure to start declining - obie
It's Bergevin. |

No thank you lol
Fans hoping to keep him are the ones who will be complaining the most after year 2 of that deal |

I know
Maybe he's saying all these things about Petry to up his value? I'm gonna remain hopeful until Monday @ 3:01 I suppose
Personally, I think it would make more sense to move Tatar now and Petry at the draft but regardless, if it were me it would be a matter of when, not if |

Fair enough but when you start complaining about things you wished for, that's a little much
For example, I'm complaining about the possibility of a Folin/Alzner pairing while I will be at the game tonight, I sure as hell didn't wish for it! |

Not my fault you decided to go see a AHL game. |

I bought the tickets in October, was hoping for a better season while well aware of the possibility this game was gonna be meaningless.... what are the odds that Lindgren is in too? |

Exactly, why delay things and risk lowering their value, risk injuries or even risk creating more false hope by being within 4 points of the playoffs come next trade deadline... this make up is 0 for 3 in the last 3 years, why invest any more time in mediocrity? |

We are on the same page, mr. smurf. I don't think Julien is the right guy for a rebuild. Just look at KK and him being so happy to go play in the AHL. We are talking about a 3rd overall pick. Fleury is another wtf, along with guys like Weal playing on the pp.
Not saying he should take all the blame, but it should be bye-bye, sooner than later.
I almost forgot about Primeau. I don't like what he did with his goalies. |

If mtl is looking to trade Kovalchuk or Domi, maybe they should not be playing on the 3rd.
Whatever. |

I guess.
But if you play Kovalchuk, you might as well showcase him.
I get the love fest and all, but unless the offers are garbage, they should trade their asset.
Domi they have control over him, so meh. |

Any reason we shouldn’t sign Halak as backup this summer? Add Lehner if Price gets traded |
