How do you know they don’t? Do you work for True North or something? Every suggestion and valuation I have made on players is pretty bang on or close to being bang on! - TheUltimateJet
It’s hard to respond seriously as this is facepalm material. There is not a player in the league who has gone on a streak or made ‘plays of the day’ that you have not suggested we trade for so yes you probably said namestnikov last year. There would be no current jets and no future if they took management tips from fans. Leave it to the pros to wheel and deal, our place is to cheer and to groan as appropriate and dream of having a silver chalice at portage and main. |

I think Boston robbed Anaheim - Ross77
I don’t think it was robbery. They gave up a first round pick for him and retain salary. Kase has been getting really good press lately from Travis Yost however some of the numbers used used didn’t add up. He made a math error with his analytics and wrongly compared him to Kreider |

I would rather be Anaheim than Boston. Now if Kase stays concussion clear, and the Ducks screw up their pick, maybe the Bruins win this trade. Kase is a decent player, no doubt about it.
A good hockey deal! Now for the future! |

One of the bigger nonsense posts of the year. Yep, Chevy and Maurice are taking advice from Ultimate....lol.
As for me. I'm not big on many Russians in this league come playoff time. Ovechkin, Radulov, maybe Kucherov come to play every night but not too many others. I'd take Trocheck over Namestsnikov any day. Also, Namestsnikov had higher value when with Florida. He's dropped in value ever since. Lowry's value might be lower only because of his current injury, otherwise, he easily gets more value than Andre Kase. - jetsnation
Speaking of nonsense. Sign me up for the 1st round pick somebody is going to pay for Lowry |

I think there may be something wrong with the exclamation mark button on your keyboard. It seems to be stuck.

Thank you for educating me on how to be a fan! This is a very valuable life lesson that I hope to one day teach my children. |

Exactly, hilarious that anyone would think Lowry could land a 1st in a trade, hopefully now that they've acquired Eakin they'll dump Lowry and replace one of the picks lost in acquiring DeMelo and Eakin. |

You'd rather be one of the worst teams in the league rather then a cup contender? |

It's a big improvement IMO, our 4th line had to be one of worst in league. Now, when Lowry and Perreault return - Perreault-Lowry-Eakin - hey, I don't mind that.
Could use some sandpaper though!
Eakin is a diggin s-o-b. I like that! - grahamzky
He will bump Shore out of the lineup. Lowry is a useful tool for pk, and critical faceoffs, but his TOI certainly should be reduced. Just look at how well Copp has played since being free of that offensive anchor. Eakin will be a great depth addition. Vegas let him go for peanuts, which can only mean that they have some cap heading their way shortly. |

Clearly he was stating that he felt the Ducks may have won that trade. And its a fair statement. The Backes cap hit won't hurt them, and he could be serviceable. Only time will tell how their 1st rd pick pans out, but I think it was a good gamble on Anaheim, as Kase has had serious injury issues, and is around 0.4ppg. Respectable, but compared to potentially improving your lottery odds, paired with a late 1st rd Boston selection, I say its a good gamble. |

There is such a thing as working both ways.
The Bruins got a player to help them in their Cup run. Meanwhile the Ducks helped their rebuild with this deal.
A good hockey trade for both teams. |

Maybe in 2025, the Ducks might be something! And, according to you the Jets should give up on this season and also focus on 2025. It seems to me you have no faith in this current group of the Jets. Just cannot believe how negative you are! |

Where do you see the Jets in this statement? Tell me! Yes the Ducks are likely looking at 2025. That's why they made this trade. It's call re-build!
There's no one who cheers harder for the Jets than me. Trust me! That's why I worry abut their future, not just 2020! And you?

I am just incorporating 2.0's life lesson and learning how to be a fan and as such don't worry about the future. Also why worry about losing a 2020 first rounder when we can just recoup it at the draft, as Jetsnation clearly stated that Lowry will fetch us a first this year. |

a few paraphrased gems from our brilliant national broadcast play-by-play announcers last night:
*'by my count the Jets third line has been responsible for 4 of the jets last 10wins'
(harkins/rosy/apples) haven't been together that long
*'the only thing giving the jets a chance right now in this game is the play of Hellebyuck'
(second period, jets outshooting flyers 26-18, Hellebyuck not on his game)
*on at least two occassions the 'ducks' made it into the canucks-bruins game
Time to leave it to the professionals Rogers. |

And how many times did they say that Laine was having a great game ? Even when he coughed up the puck every time he tried to stickhandle across the Flyer blue line .

Laine was good last night, one great shot but hardly a standout game. |
