Have the Blue jays made any noise the last few years?

they should be a little more competitive this year compared to last.

Hoping for a big, big year from Vlad Jr.

Yeah, it's been a great ride!!
They made the playoffs for the 1st & 2nd times in 20 years, then raised tickets prices 40%, then traded away anyone who might help them get back into the dance.

This is the year to do it. Gotta figure Boston is going to take a step back not only from trading Mookie, but the whole fallout from the scandal. Tampa is always feisty, but I never see them as getting more than 85 wins or so as a ceiling. Yankees should crush the division, but no reason why the Jays can't contend for a wild card.

I saw that...what a wonderful source Ek has. I think Forest Gump would have said something more intelligent.

Don't fully understand that trade, I live in Boston, the only other team with this much support are the Yankees... I mean this team prints money

So, does this mean we keep him? Or, that we accept less from someone else?

I really think they’ll re-sign him. I think they have to now, jmo. He’s kinda the engine, or caboose, of this locomotive at the moment

IMHO I choose to keep Kreider. His speed, strength and his scoring can’t be found in trade or the system today. It would be a step backwards in this “rebuild” if he’s traded. There are better options.
Florida needs help on Defense. Skjei for Trouchek.
Toronto needs Puck moving D. ADA Kapanen. Maybe we need to tweak a little bit it works.
Colorado needs a goalie and they need a second line center. Strome and Georgiev for Donskoi. (I know I’m butchering the spelling) and their 1st pick.
Nashville needs someone to check and there’s none better than Jesper Fast. I love this guy but....bottom six. Can find and probably already have enough bottom six.

This will allow Kreider to stay on the Top line. Trouchek will Center Panarin and Kaapo.
Chytil centers Kapanen and Donskoi
Howden centers Gauthier and Lemieux.

This will also allow Hank to play 5-8 more games this year and he can have his farewell tour next.

As I stated above, it may hurt our chances because they don't have the 1st, but don't underestimate how much clearing Backes cap space and getting a young cheap roster player does for them. If they were hesitant to include Debrusk, maybe now they would include him because they have another cheap winger they won't have to open the checkbook in the offseason.

If Florida would do that trade, MDW will have a couple beers with Skjei and take him to the airport and walk him to his terminal. That would be an awful trade on Florida's part.

If they sign him they will have to make other player moves because they wont have enough cap space to resign their RFAs.

The Callahan situation debacle played out the same way. Traded on the deadline.

Wasnt Staal and Girardi also deadline day signings too??

We are all well aware of that.
It's a matter of who is more important to the future of the team.
