They are not a bubble team. This is not the same as the Hak bubble playoff teams

If wouldn't surprise me if they catch one of those two teams though it would surprise me if they caught both.

What would flyers need to add with ghost to get Kapanen? Would a 2nd be enough?

Nothing is impossible but those are two elite teams in front of the flyers.I would be ecstatic if they finished 2nd.They got some real confidence at home.I hope these next 20 games establish a confidence playing on the road.If they can achieve that then that will be more valuable than anything.

Agreed, some on here have been saying they’re not contenders yet. Their recent play and considering the season as a whole so far to me indicates that they’re closing to contending than we might have thought.

Thinking ahead we should look for a goalie - DeSmith interests me however assuming Penguins won't move him our way

I don’t think you need to forget first, but they just need to focus on playing their game every night.

Their biggest problems are consistency. They can play with and beat anyone.

Good win - they need to keep picking up points. They need to figure out how to get control of the d-zone. Too many times it is a Chinese fire drill out there

If they make the trade straight up it would be on par with JVR for Schenn. I would not sell low on ghost and personally feel that Kapanen is overvalued. There is an emotional attachment to daddy on these boards that clouds judgment.

In the case of SSB its a bit of a two way street.

I can look at the posts he made towards me today and getting told I dont know what I'm talking about, only his view is correct and everything else isn't always the easiest to deal with in a cordial manner.

Bubble is relative to other teams. Most years they’d be sitting comfortably right now They are tracking at 102 points

As per the standings right now they are not playing like a bubble team but rather an legit playoff team.

That could obviously change as the rest of the season plays out but right now they are a damn fun team to watch.

I know that. I’m simply saying that we may need to adjust our expectations. None of that is to say they should be a stone cold lock for the SC or even the ECF. They’ve played very well at home, beaten Was, StL and Boston in the road, are one of the top teams at allowing shots on goal and have good depth throughout the roster. All this suggests a team that is closer to contending than we may have previously thought.
