He stood up for a teammate. He threw some good body checks throughout that period. I think he tries to get too fancy when playing Washington. Just needs to simplify his game and keep up the physicality

We won the draw and vrana was allowed at full speed to the puck before anyone else...at top speed it's nothing for him to get by a standing d man. He has to be tied up there a bit. Not allowed to jump around and take the won draw away. This happened a few times yesterday too and was clearly noted as a problem...its a compete issue on the draw...for everyone not the center.

I don't think the Caps were as goonish as they are now.

I don't know about that. They definitely have a few more goons on the go now I guess but this looked alot like those series to me.

If we capitalize on those they won’t be able to catch up and they will have to abandon being so physical. If we get pushed around and can’t push back physically and don’t bury our chances I think they will win a series.
