WHen is the last time something similair happened and other teams could openly mock another team? What was the effect on that team? seriously...

They are a mentally weak team that crumbles at the first sight of adversity. The core needs to be surrounded by more vets who’ve actually won (no more Marleaus), and players with swagger.

That defense is just a poopshow. Muzzin, Holl, and Sandin (Liljegren too) are the only ones who could stay. I don’t even care if Rielly is traded or not at this point. Give me Parayko.

I really don't want to see him fired... I've said this many times. Babcock was in part fired because he was set in his ways, "my way or the highway" mentality... and stubborn.

Dubas - by sticking zealously to this speed and skill mantra, and by the signal he sent by trading Kadri (because he single handedly lost the playoff series to the Bruins - he didn't by the way)... simply reinforces the "no push back" mentality.

Dubas has to own that now. He's made much of this mess, he should stick around to clean it up.

Don't fire Dubas, make him address the issues. Perhaps the facade of "hockey scientist" needs to be re-worked a bit.. a little bit of a dressing down in public if you will.

But unfortunately the Toronto sports media doesn't have the smarts to ask the right questions...

What did I miss? Is this the last NHL season? Is there some kind of max moves limit he's at for the rest of his life? Did the teams core suddenly turn 38?

People need to get off the (frank)ing ledge and stop acting as though there's no going back. The teams young stars aren't even close to 25 and are under contract for half a decade.

This is the first year he's really swung for it and it hasn't worked... Oh well. There's no shortage of manageable options available and plenty of time to sort it out.

It's so leafy to demand a GMs head after not having a cup after a couple years on the job its nauseating.

Where is Mitch Marner? Is he drowning in coke these days? I always thought he was overpaid but I can't believe hes been this bad.

We need to sell (trade Barrie) at the deadline. Send the team a message that they deserved this. If they have any professional integrity, they will figure it out. If not, this group isn't it anyway.

I was against trading Matthews/Marner/Nylander. Now, I think one of the wingers has to go for a top D. The team dynamics need to change.

I hope Campbell does start. 1 good game from Freddy in 2020 is not enough.
