Watch it again.

Svech is actually trying to avoid Barrie in the moment he loses his footing. There's no shove and the players aren't facing the same direction.

- BINGO!

Oh Bingo... you are better than this.

If that's Kadri... he's suspended for 5-6 games easy.

I don't think Svechnikov intended that little shove to end up that way.. but it does happen.

But don't defend it... Kerfoot got suspended for something much less impactful that the push tonight.

Defending this puts you in Bruins fan/Jack Edwards territory.. give your head a shake.

"I think Pacioretty was embellishing there"...

Andersen must make 43 out of 47 saves or else he's the problem.
- JohnFergusonJr

The problem? No.
A problem? Abso(frank)inglutely

Therein lies the difference.

well... its does get just a little boring and void of content when that is the opening salvo in literally every comment they make.

yes, it would have been wonderful if Anderssen managed to make 51 saves tonight instead of 45 or whatever.

He shouldn't be immune when he shyts the bed.. but at least he actually played tonight.

There's seriously 9-10 guys tonight who were complete passengers.

I know I know... now you'll switch to critiquing Gauthier.... man he was bad tonight. And Llijegren was terrible too.

- BorjeFan4Ever

You're attempt at having the book written on me is a fail.

Every single player that threw that jersey on tonight is accountable and should be embarrassed.

I find the desperate searches to find one guy to dump the blame on to be a childish knee jerk reaction that most on here just can't help themselves from diving right into.

It's a team sport played by grown assed men.

Thank you for not talking about our goaltender and feeding these asshats.

Anderson wasn't great but he was fine. Not gonna win anything when you only get 10 shots in the last half of a game.

they should make Andersen drive the Zamboni for the next couple of days.

Nobody, literally NOBODY, is blaming Andersen single-handedly for this loss and every time one of you blithering idiots say that's what others are doing, it's making you look more and more stupid than you already are. And for you specifically, that's quite a feat.

They just can't understand the game well enough to realize what's really happening.

Leafs with 19 giveaways (that's probably half of the real number) and allowing 47 shots, 16 in the 1st, 21 in the 2nd. That's a travesty of a team.

But blame Andersen.

- JohnFergusonJr

Yes, it is a travesty of a team, and that very much includes the goalie.

2020 league-worst sv%. (or close to bottom?) That is a fact.

Do you understand how percentages work or should we add it to "facts" and "proof" on the list if things too difficult for you to grasp.

What in the holy hell are you talking about? He extended his arms to hit. It was a shove. How do you think Barrie lost his footing and starting flying into the boards. A dangerous play.

The goalie is not part of any blame when the team gives up 47 shots, almost 20 giveaways (probably more like 40) and can't even get shots on net on the PP against a beer league goalie.

Huh? No I legit didn't see it that way. Maybe a different feed than the one I was watching has it differently.

I dunno. I just saw it as an unfortunate collision. Definitely didn't see any push.

Tough to find one player who gives a poop, and that includes Andersen.

Kapanen maybe.

Carolina is just a goalie away from being very, very dangerous.
- JohnFergusonJr

Breaking...Canes acquire goalie Freddy Andersen from Toronto in exchange for defenseman Dougie Hamilton and goalie James Reimer. More to come.

precisely... finding one guy to dump on after an abortion like that game is childish.
so stop doing it.
Andersen was not to blame for the Leafs total lack of emotion, internal fortitude and brains tonight.

but its all good... its a day off tomorrow to play XBox or whatever, do a few lines an generally phack the dog... "some platitudes with the media about how we need to be better"...
its all good. and when it isn't...we'll blame the goalie

I'd agree with Kapanen. Only guy who routinely seems to give a (frank).

So he's probably traded tomorrow...

47 shots against is not fine
15 shots for in 40 minutes is not fine
0% on the PP is not fine
50% on the PK is not fine
19 giveaways is not fine
.872 SV% is not fine.

Could Andersen play better? Yes.
But he is so far down the list of problems this team has it's really not even worth mentioning.
The Hurricanes had a frigging middle aged zamboni driver in net for half the game and won.
Think about that for a second.

The major reason why .872 SV% happened was because all of the other poop happening in front of him. That's the part that you people just don't get.

Yes but don't dare say the word andersen or you'll be subject to 7 pages of obsessive oppositional defiance posting about Fred being tied with tukka in sv % over the last 5 years by that complete blithering idiot.

Given the context of the past week, this is the worst loss I’ve seen in 28 years of being a Leafs fan.
