They couldn’t execute a pass
They fell 100 times
One guy tried to carry it in and the wingers would just kinda watch hoping they’d get the puck
The Leafs forgot how to play hockey - Santo_44
The wingers WERE (frank)ing terrible. There was no push back at all outside of Kappy getting into it with Staal a bit. |

I disagree, Zez. The Leafs teams in the Ballad era didn't pretend to be good. The were god awful, but they and everyone else knew it. This team on the other hand thinks it's shiite doesn't stink. But, you know, it really really does. That was the biggest, ugliest, leafiest, pile of shiit ever dropped by a Leaf team, ever, last night. And that's saying something, given some of the clownshows we've had to endure here over the years. I guarantee you there are players on that team last night don't give a rats ass enough to really be embarrassed. Little boys with big bank accounts who will talk about it being 'unacceptable'. Last night proved that they have truly taken the mantle passed down by the Muskoka 5, Phil, Dion, and the boys. Spare me the empty rhetoric, lads.
They are pampered, spoiled, unprofessional, and obviously completely rudderless. - fifty__missions
I watched the mid-80s Leafs team take 5-0 leads into the 3rd period... and lose 6-5. Each generation they've had some terrible times.

Understand: Babcock was right.
Understand: You cannot win in the playoffs without playing good defence.
Understand: The Leafs will likely make the playoffs and flame out in 5 games.
Understand: The depth of Leaf dysfunction will not be fully visible until next season. |

The fact is that none of us know what has gone on in that room to make this team the way they are. There certainly seems to be a country club atmosphere, again.
Someone in this organization does know what the problem(s) is/are. It is up to that person to make the changes necessary. I don't care if it means Matthews or Marner has to go. If they are the problem, so be it.

Understand. Babcock was an idiot.
The rest I can agree with. |

I’m not here to bash the team. They had a bad third, but they also have a lot of players any other team would love to have. They have to figure it out, because people can hate them if they want. At the end of the day the league is better off if they’re in the playoffs. Just get in, and that team has the capability to go on a run. They beat themselves, the emergency goalie is just a good story. |

I’ve decided to tell myself that this game will be the turning point. This event will unite this team in a positive manner. |

We would have won but Freddie’s sv% was only .872. 🤷🏻♂️ Facts - Garnie
Yeah, uh, people have been pretty consistent stating that he ALSO has not played well enough.
The response to the poopty, league worst sv% is that he faces the most shots.
I cant even be bothered to try to clear that math hurdle with some people in here, but to absolve him, is as ridiculous as it is to put all the blame on him.
Last night, I think we all need to LOL at our high-powered offensive talent for not being able to score much against a zambonie driver. |

As TSN said yesterday, the fact that Tyson Barrie's name is coming up in trade rumours at all tells you exactly what Kyle Dubas really thinks about where the team is at. |

Pretty much.
The leafs didn’t lose to a zamboni driver, they lost a quality team defense that was missing one of its top guys.
This offense got easily beat by quality team defense.
And zamboni driver
Lol
So pathetic.
Ah well.
