I thought it was the Pittsburgh loss followed up by their best performance this year.

Now, I feel like I just won't get sucked in again. This team is poop. There are issues that aren't going away until the specific problems are fired or traded away.

Understand: Babcock was right.

Understand: You cannot win in the playoffs without playing good defence.

Understand: The Leafs will likely make the playoffs and flame out in 5 games.

Understand: The depth of Leaf dysfunction will not be fully visible until next season.

Fortunately for the leafs, the Panthers are spinning their tires.

Still no clue what happened to them last night.

Why they could not execute a pass or even skate up the ice without falling is mind boggling.

They clearly crumbled under the pressure to score against “don’t even have to make a save” Dave. They weren’t fragile before and it’s not because Kadri is gone.

I think Dubas was going to make a big move here anyways but I think he is even more inclined to do so now.

They need to inject life into this core and I don’t think it’s coming from within.
