Also the arena is owned in a three way partnership between the state, NC State University and the Hurricanes and they're all in negotiations to renovate the arena. Dundon has said he's willing to put in $200 million towards either building a new arena downtown or developing the area around the existing one if they sign a new lease with the promise of the other two putting in $200 million to renovate the current building.

That's been ongoing and it seems like everybody is willing to play ball.
