Who will be more of a difference maker the rest of the season and in the playoffs?
Kovalchuk or Thompson? - PLindbergh31
neither is going to make much of an impact. |

Agreed. It’s always more exciting to make the big splash but as long as they’re winning I can’t really complain. - hereticpride
I get it if people want to complain. I mean, there's probably some dollars left on the table from the summer
But I think Kevin Hayes was gonna get what he got. So to me, if you think that, then pretty much everything flows from that
If people disagree with that, then those people are never gonna be satisfied with how Fletcher handled the summer |

That's my hope. Better him than Andreoff, and better him than a kid who could actually play in the AHL. - jmatchett383
But we need Stewart back for the stretch run...... |

Kovalchuk got to pick going to Boston or Washington, and he picked the team with Ovechkin.
Get over it, clown. |

Well, I think this trade has officially ended the Chris Stewart saga. |

Kevin Hayes so far has been exactly what we needed. I have no issues with the signing |

I really don’t see much of anything happening unless Ghost is dealt. Maybe something like a cheap 4th line vet but that’s it. Flyers front office had their fun with the cap this past summer. - hereticpride
Excellent prescience there, Heretic. And replacing Bunny isn't a bad idea at the moment. He still is wearing training wheels. |

really how does one complain about the moves. Hayes has been worth it so far and the same for Braun and Nisk. Yes the young players have made a difference but without the 3 vets I don't see the Flyers where they are... |

I was unhappy with literally every move the Flyers made in the off-season.
Didnt like Niskanen. (former Cap AND pen looking like he's about finished!?!?)
Didnt like Braun.
Couldnt stand AV.
Didnt like either of his assistants.
Despised the Hayes signing.
They've all worked out fairly well. |

So Im guessing Thompson is our 4C. Bunnamon sent down and Laughton stays at 3c for now? - MBFlyerfan
Sounds about right. |

Yup, he's still very young and inexperienced. If any prospect could benefit from playing big minutes in the AHL, it's him. |

I didn't then and definitely don't now. I think he's been so valuable for them |

You can't go into the playoffs without expecting an injury (or two). This move was needed and doesn't hurt us in anyway. It can only (hopefully) help. Seems we are done, but plenty of time left |

Losing their top-line winger for the rest of the regular season |

Upgrading the healthy scratches. That's an interesting strategy. |

Yes, because no one of the Flyers has ever been injured.
It's called depth. |
