Yeah I mean in a perfect world it would be 4 or 4.5 but someone was paying that or potentially more if he made it to FA. Guy is a pretty good player on all fronts. I remember him driving the Rangers nuts in the playoffs a few years ago. He was pretty awesome. I like this guys game. He’s most likely not going to light it up offensively consistently but he has a well rounded game. He’ll fit in with Trotz perfectly.

I get the impression from what we paid that he was the player Lameriello wanted all along and didn’t want him to get away. I’m completely on board with that especially know that he’s locked up.
