Not a lot of options for clearing cap space. Not saying it's going to happen, but I wouldn't rule it out. Bailey or Leddy make about what Pageau could potentially get on an extension. Ladd isn't going anywhere without comparable salary coming back our way. Komarov doesn't clear enough space alone and probably isn't a desirable asset.
Cap space has to come from somewhere and, unless you have Lou trading Pulock or Toews' RFA rights then I'm not really sure how it's gonna happen. |

Leddy would not be the 1st choice. Doubt Bailey could bring back a #1. Maybe a #2 and another pick? |

I can see them moving Bailey and a combination or one of Johnston or Kuhnackl which would give us approximately 6.5 more space. Or just send Johnston down to clear the one million. Not Leddy. |

Bailey opens a spot for Wahlstrom so it adds more reason to move Bailey. Nelson Beau and Wahlstrom could make a nice 2nd line. |

Boychuk or Ladd will have to get bought out this summer. We can’t afford to keep this super team we have with all these bad contracts. |

Here are the forwards Pageau has most TOI at 5v5 against this season, for Atlantic + NYI/PIT/WSH:
BOS: Pastrnak
BUF: Eichel
DET: Larkin
FLA: Barkov
MTL: Danault (Gallagher/Tatar)
NYI: Barzal
PIT: Malkin
TBL: Stamkos
TOR: Matthews
WSH: Wilson (Backst./Ovechkin)

Moving the Coon does nothing, he's a pending UFA. You could send Ross down for the $1M but that's pretty minimal.
I'm not saying I think it's any sort of foregone conclusion that they'd move Leddy. But it would check a few boxes. They could do a futures deal to recoup the assets lost on Pageau and it would probably clear the cap space necessary to accommodate a Pageau extension. Bailey's money would help with the latter, but I doubt he's worth a first+. |

Hearing #isles are working on a deal that would reunite Zach Parise and GM Lou Lamoriello. Not done yet.
What the (frank) why. That would have to involve Ladd moving out. Parise make like $7.5M until 2025 |

Parise is willing to waive no-move is this comes to fruition. It’s a complicated trade. Talks have been ongoing with #mnwild since last summer and revived lately. Ladd would have been the return last summer |
