I agree, but i don't think (unprofessional opinion, just recent labrum surgery haver), 100% is as hard to reach in hockey, as it is in say baseball. so if it is a ROM recovery thing, it gives me more optimism than pessimism, to be 4 months rather than 6, since shoulder ROM isn't as vital as it is in baseball. - joecool2931
The biggest issue I had with my shoulder playing hockey is that it is the first point of contact for almost every collision large and small. If it's not 100% it's very easy to re injure. |

I know professional athletes play when they're ready, but from my perspective it wouldn't be the worst thing for Jake to return next season. He's so important to the remainder of the window, I'd hate to see him develop a chronic problem. |

It's already injured,so its likely already going to be a chronic problem, just a matter of when. hopefully it isn't until long after his career is over. |

Yea, thats why i wanted to know what the specific shoulder injury was, because it will make a huge difference in how i feel about that time table. |

From ck: putting everything else aside, it's stunning how poorly Botterill (or whoever he hired to do it) is managing the cap. it seems like Kahun's performance bonuses will push them over the limit, costing them millions in cap space next season. |

I think he came into one of the worse situations in the league, but he’s truly not done much to right this ship. No matter how bad the situation is you want to start seeing a direction by year 3, and I’m not sure you’re getting that with Bots. Not much you can do about the Kane and O’Reilly situations, but they shouldn’t still have Risto at this point, and while lesser moves like like the Montour and the two Sheary trades have been good, the lack of big moves is a concern. Bots might be too timid to cut it as a GM in this league. |

Ha ha.... Sounds like Dumo and Marino are non-contact, but this is great news.
I going to try to get over my "Sheary sadness". That will last until I see him get knocked over by the breeze of somebody skating past him. |

Ruth commenter that hopefully in the next week or so we will have a healthy team and see how the pens are doing then. That implies to me that dumo and Marino are both close to returning. |

We all knew it, but the line that pisses me off the most is the second line....put (frank)ing Rust back on the right and Horny on the third line... or switch Rust and Sheary |

Not loving the lines - Rinosaur
I do not understand a single one. Baffling.
Edit... Who knows how the bottom 6 looks if McCann were skating. Might be different. McCann should center the 3rd line IMO.
Rust should definitely be playing right wing.....WTF. |

Rust Malkin Horny didnt allow a single scoring chance against the caps. Rust also played LW with Malkin and phil a good bit. I think it works well. |

He's not scoring on that side though...he's been damn dry lately. I'd at least put him up with Sid and Zucker then Sheary with Geno and Horny |

He hasn't been scoring on any side. I dont think that's the issue. He couldn't shoot 25% forever. |

Meh... Rust having a breakout year at RW. I'm leaving him there. He's been slumping a bit lately, but I'm leaving him there.
I'd go...
Zucker, Sid, Rust
Marleau, Geno, Hornie
Sheary/Simon, McCann, Rod
Sheary/Simon, Bleugs, Tanev |

I like Rust better on the right and don't want to mess with him. But I also like Hornqvist there and it's hard to say he isn't one of their top 4 wings, probably 3rd behind Rust and Zucker. Maybe it is time to try Rust with Sid again.
