So, he's about half way through his 15 mins of fame?
He should parlay his appearance on the ice into an analyst position on SportsNet. He would certainly be better at it than Kevin Bieksa. - floater_willy
One of the bolts that holds the passenger seat down on a Silverado would be better than Bieska |

Here's David Ayres' schedule from the Canes PR department on Sunday...
It'sridiculous how many stops he made. Dude was on Colbert last night. - BINGO!
It was nuts.
I guess it was a good news story that the media down south have simply been craving for with all thats going on with pumpkin clown.
Must have been fun for him. |

Anybody know if Liljegren is back in tonight? I’d much rather watch a 20 year make mistakes than to watch Marincin... do anything. |

So, after last game we would expect a huge response from our team. The thing with the Leafs is they always seem to do the opposite of what you expect. When the game is big and you expect them to come our hungry and ready, they get steam rolled and look disinterested. So tonight I have no idea what to expect...
Tampa could destroy us. Leafs might be looking ahead to playing Florida?? Then when we get to the Florida game we are a no show? |

Will it be titled "Is Andersen bad or not bad"? - PatC80
No, because I already have the answer in my head.
So it will be titled "My Factual Proof That Andsersen is Blameless".

Im hoping for a quality game tonight and the same effort for the next game against the panthers.
.....and the next 17 games.
Lots of effort, intensity, and caresi. |

TL;DR: The Leafs are awful against the trap.
I think it might be related to the passive system. When I first started thinking about the system, it made me think that it might be okay if you're leading but it really eats at the clock when you're losing.
If the other team has possession of the puck in your zone, you block the middle, prevent cross crease passes, and attempt to force them to the outside. This is great for prevention, but it lets the other team wear you down, run the clock, and while they have the puck in your zone, they're pretty f'n safe.
Similarly, because the Leafs are poor at puck retrieval in general, the shoot in is a poor option for them - unless it's Hyman. Clifford hits, but I don't think I've seen his physicality result in the acquisition of a puck. Anyway, if the shoot-in is just going to result in a turn-over giving the other team the puck (where they can traipse back up-ice and run the clock in the Leafs' zone for a while), the Leafs need to enter the zone with the puck, so clogging the neutral zone and trapping the blue line are very effective tools against the Leafs.
When the Leafs have the lead, they have the option to NOT force the zone entry and hold the puck until they like what they see - which forces the other team into being the aggressor, which usually opens up lanes that the Leafs can exploit - so trapping is a poor option when you're losing. - Monkeypunk
Is the "passive" system on the players or on Keefe?
They are a better team when the have the lead and are great when the have control of the puck.. This team needs to learn how to be good without the puck.
Puck possession is their strength, the problem is the other 47.6% of the time
