Does Dubas get credit for that trade? - Santo_44
No, it was LA's idea probably. |

Pageau has hit 20 goals once in his career, this year. He has 40 points right now, and he just got 5M. He is overpayed big time. Kapanen just got 3.2M for 3 years and people were up in arms over his "overpayment" - Archaic
The double-standard is hilarious. Lou can't move any of those countless bottom 6 deals he has. |

Unless that was the point? - Fakepartofme
Marner is the problem, because opinions.

We've had better goaltending lately. In several of the losses, both goalies stood on their head and didn't deserve the L. What gets me is that our "stars" have been MIA and what was once a defensively sound team has become a joke. Plus stupid turnovers, penalties, inability to clear the puck, not taking shots, too much passing...I mean honestly it's like they've suddenly forgot how to play hockey.
It's crazy. - FoxMulder
The $ and production for Nashvillle's top 3 Cs is downright ugly. Marner's getting destroyed for a 1.17 PPG avg.
The controversy over Nylander's contract looks hilarious now. |

Yep, I mean hes no Marinpoop/Ceci, but Im not sure I like that long term for the Canes. I love the Trocheck move though. - Archaic
wouldn't shock me if he's flipped again or used as fodder for the expansion draft.
they pretty much have to move somebody out this summer with Svechnikov and Necas needing new contracts soon. |

Yeah but he traded a mid round pick in that deal what a dummy.
But let’s make fun of him for buying a draft pick in the Lehner trade. |

I think this is pretty bang on. And this is not only a Leafs thing, See TB the first 20 games..Maybe Freddy is on the downward trend and his best seasons are behind him. But average D + below average Goalies = mess

I don't know why this isn't the entire conversation: Mediocre defensive team loses goaltending safety net and everything goes to poop. Goaltending gets back to competency, it stops being poop.
The Leafs are an elite offence generator, so they can kinda hold thier head above water when things go south.

He is. And it was a signing Dubas HAD to do, because Toronto needs MORE of that physical presence. Still, 4.75 or 5 is more the number I thought he might get him at. |

Is Muzzin leaving why Doughty has fallen off a cliff? I don't think they played together that often, but it's a fun narrative to make Uggie upset. |
