Some of the posters on twitter were saying Ho-Sang was dogging it last game in BP and was benched for the 3rd period. Didn't give any effort on stopping a guy while on the PP which led to a SHG - Vukota
Never understood how that works. If he's Islander property, then who pays his salary? If it's the Isles, why pay his salary to play for an AHL team other than Bridgeport? Are they hoping to generate interest, so that St. Louis trades for him? - JohnScammo
Interesting, that said I hope he turns it around this year. He is sooooo talented

I'm sure he'd like to give another franchise a shot, but I'm not so sure anyone in the NHL is going to bother wasting one of their 50 contracts on him. Unless he was just being a dildo to force his way out of the Islanders org and is suddenly going to become coachable and a normal human being....I can't imagine any GM or AHL coach is dying to put up with him. - eichiefs9
Well truth be told, San Antonio is willing to take a test drive despite having a much better record than Bridgeport, so they are at least somewhat interested

Well hopefully he plays well, because if Lou manages to get anything better than an AHL-lifer for him then that's a win in my book.

We sold that AHL team to Vegas starting next year. So likely just a favor between GMs.
Oh, ok, not sure how he was in OT, just saw the last 2 and it wasn't that pretty - mdw7413
Last night was more fluky than anything. Greiss didn't exactly get the best seal against the post on the wrap, either.
Against you guys, yeah he definitely turned the puck over but you can just as easily blame Nelson for just completely forgetting that there were other players on the ice besides Panarin. That one was just a team failure and he certainly shoulders some of that blame but he's hardly in "keep him off the ice" territory.

And in case nobody can get access to Newsday's poopbag website:
Multiple sources told The Point on Friday that Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is expected to head to Nassau Coliseum Saturday afternoon before the New York Islanders’ 1 p.m. home game against the Boston Bruins.
But he won’t be there just to watch a hockey game.
Instead, Cuomo is expected to come to the arena to announce before the game that the Islanders will play any playoff games this year and next year, along with their entire home schedule for the 2020-2021 season, at the Coliseum.
Next season is expected to be the Islanders’ last before they head to Belmont Park, where a new arena is under construction.
Last month, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran sent a letter to National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman requesting that the Islanders play next season at the Coliseum. Bettman’s initial response was that the request was “a little premature.”
Cuomo had previously arranged for the Islanders to split their home games during the last two seasons between the Coliseum and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
If Cuomo's plan comes to fruition, then this spring - March 22, to be exact - will mark the last time the Islanders will play in Barclays, bringing to an end a five-year tenure that began after former Islanders owner Charles Wang moved the team to Brooklyn in 2015.
The Islanders are expected to begin playing at Belmont during the 2021-2022 season.

I know Zibanejad has a cannon but I still can't believe Varly didn't stop that. He was like 5ft out of his crease - eichiefs9
Yeah, thats a pretty low percentage shot. No screen and a few feet in from the blue line. Zib does have a great slap shot though, but that was definitely more on Varly

The thing with Zib though was his 1st 2 years were ok. His last 2 years he has finally bought into working hard and being a leader and its pretty impressive. The talent was always there.
