Took a header off a cliff after getting that contract, still can't believe we got a first for him. More shocking is that the Devs got Buffalo to take Simmonds.

I know the Canes are banging up on d but a #1?

Hes actually a responsible defensive forward
- Upstate_isles

He is and you wonder if we can see more offense from MDC playing with Pageau?

Totally nuts, but it's a conditional 1st. Either theirs or Toronto's, so they still have a 1st.

Lot of hockey experts like Tanner think Lou is nuts for the trade.

He still thinks Dubas is a genius for being able to sign a player with Leaf jammies.

Fact MDC got his bell rung I would say it’s either Bellows or Badd

I guess Staple tweeted that the League wasn’t going to revisit the Trouba hit. Wow I thought that was a clear hit to the head.

- Upstate_isles

Wait Brett lindros didn’t retire due to concussions I know Eric did but Brett was first and the younger brother.
Edit: I know he had concussion problems but he stuck around afte the Rangers he was also in the stars and leafs.

If this isn’t accurate please update Wikipedia

Playing career
Lindros was drafted in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, 1st round, 9th overall by the New York Islanders. After suffering a series of concussions, he was forced to retire on May 1, 1996 due to post-concussion syndrome after playing only 51 NHL games.

it's a real difficult one to determine

first of all, lets clear this up right away

Butchie was screaming that Trouba left his feet and that was absolutely not true, Trouba's skates don't go in the air until after contact

Pageau's pass to MDC put him into very vulnerable position and he was hunched over slightly with his head down trying to find the puck

I do believe that the head was the initial point of contact, but I think if you look at rules 2 and 3 here, I think that's why no penalty and no suspension

My notes from last night.

You guys out played us.
The Trouba hit was legal, hope MDC is ok
Your goal should have counted, don't know what they were looking at in the review
Still probably would have been 3-3 and went to OT

Hopefully Bellows. More of a concern might be the loss of Greene, hopefully he’s ok. Overall tough loss but if we play like that for the remainder of season we’ll be fine. Just wish they were a little more physical and put more focus on Panarin. He killed us last night.

100% Chiefs, Rags are in one of those streaks where everything goes right.
It will turn around soon enough.

- nyisles7

Agreed we got outplayed. But the only way isles or rags go anywhere deep is if the go on a streak. Both teams don’t have the top guns to really control games consistently if we are going tbh.

At full speed hard to tell on that hit my initial thought was player with head down and open ice hit.
Slow mo is different but refs dont get that luxury. His skates came off ice from impact that's just physics.
That should have been a goal he was outside the crease and pushed in, if that's goalie interference then as a defenseman I'm driving guys into the crease all the time.
That was a great game isles should have won but I'll take that effort every night you win 9 out of 10 games you play like that

Yeah, I still don't get how they called that a no goal. The ref, fine, he is watching it in real time, the replay I don't know what the (frank) they saw. If thats the standard for the playoffs, thats going to be brutal

I have to agree with this. Both teams will need a heck of a lot to go right to go on a long playoff run.

Trouba hit is borderline it's so hard to tell right there live i thought clean hit, replay was head but how does he play the man there in that situation. What pissed me off was the instigator call
