This idiot paid probably hundreds of dollars to sit on the glass at a playoff game just to miss the hit

Thanks for the giant red arrow though, I would have missed that

I don't like the 10 minute misconduct added onto the instigator, I hate the rule, just give extra 2 minutes
- jimbro83

When did they make that automatic misconduct rule? Is that new this year? seems excessive.

Trouba hit was technically a "legal hit"... but.. that is the type of hits they are trying to take out of the game. If a guy doesn't see the hit coming and you have the ability to not hit him.. then your supposed to not send him into next week.. especially when the initial contact is head.

it is what it is.. I don't really mind how the calls went down after the hit (once I realized the instigator carried an automatic 10 min misconduct too). but I would bet a lot that if that hit was made by a player with a reputation like Martin, Wilson, Lemiuex, etc. it would have been called at the time.

The disallowed goal was just flat out absurd. it was 100% Lindgren's stick that interfered with the goalie. Lee did nothing other than stand there.. absurd.

https://twitter.com/Isles.../1232489665925509120?s=20 Very Rare that Trotz gets upset with calls by refs and he was not happy about this one at all...

he even mentioned the Rangers second goal where Howden was in the middle of the crease and his skate actually moved Varly before it went in the net. It was a hell of a tip but if you don't allow Lee's goal.. u certainly can't all that one.

Definitely true on that account. I've seen Lemieux get penalties this year for getting punched in the face

That's because Lemieux is a subhuman garbage creature whose scumbag father stuck his Richard in a dead hooker and three weeks later out popped Brendan

It’s also who’s getting hit. This instance it was MDC. If it’s Panarin, Crosby, or McJesus etc. there’s probably a call as well.
NHL just needs to be consistent which to me they haven’t been on any level lately.

Well he seems to already have a reputation for trying to get a reaction and then flopping like a European soccer player when someone touches him.. so that could be it.

Assuming those two are out, yeah I would have to imagine that's the case. I wonder if they don't try inserting Aho right into the lineup

Sounds like Andy Greene, Michael Dal Colle and Cal Clutterbuck are day to day and will travel with #Isles
to St. Louis this afternoon. Game vs. Blues game tomorrow night.

Worth getting a look at Aho before he is traded for Parise.
