Has anyone confirmed that he has a concussion? Or is he still only in protocol?
- Wildschwein

I doubt he would be allowed to fly if he was in the protocol

TRANSACTION: Nic Pierog (F) has been recalled from the @RailersHC. He led Worcester with 22 goals and was tied for the team lead in points (35) this season.

BPT recalled a forward from the ECHL. Wonder if that means Bellows is on his way to St. Louis?

I should hope so. He’s the best available replacement for MDC at this point.

Though truth be told, I’d rather Bellows over MDC anyway.

Offensively I would agree, but away from the puck he’s been rough the last couple starts he had imho.

I like Dal Colle, I don't think he gets enough appreciation. He's not perfect, but he does a good job. Although, I'll admit that if I had to choose one of him or Greene to miss time...it'd be him.

I think the problem with MDC and where all the hate comes from is the fact that is playing on the 3rd line. MDC works hard but has little to no offensive game. He should be on the 4th line but as we know the team has too many 4th liners already thus pushing him up to the 3rd line. I would let Martin walk in the offseason and have MDC & Johnston as your 4th line LW depending on the matchups. I love Martin but I think he is done.

Yeah Martin's time here is over, as much as I hate to say it. I would kinda like to see them go out and find someone that's got a little more speed to go play with Cizikas and Clutterbuck though. The one thing I can't stand about Dal Colle is how slow he is and the way he skates. I think adding another quick skater to that line will give them the opportunity to wreak even more havoc out there.

Agreed but then MDC is still on the 3rd line which is I think is no good unless they replace him next year as well, but I just don't see it because he is cheap and they are up against the cap

"It was just a no brainer for him to be here for six years," Brassard added. "In junior, he played in his hometown and then he got traded to a different team. So, it's almost like a little deja vu for him. He's going through that right now. I talked to him a little bit yesterday. He had a little bit of emotions, obviously with the trade. He really liked it there. Now, I think he's really going to like it. I told him he's going to like it here with the new rink, with the direction of this team, the group of guys that we have in here."

You're on a one year deal my man

True, but I should think playing him with Pageau would mitigate that somewhat.

I don’t dislike MDC. I would just rather have a more offensive threat on the 3rd line.

Going to be interesting when they get healthy. Uncle Leo hasn't been brutal the last couple of weeks. Wonder if he gets the nod over MDC when Clutterbuck comes back

Martin is one of those guys most fans from other teams like . Tough guy who always plays hard, and never a cheap shot guy. Some great 1 liners too. I was always a fan and wanted him before he went to Toronto

I love the guy but at this stage of his career he doesn't look to drop them as much granted fighting is down league wide but he wants to be more of a hockey player which is fine if you have the skill . He doesn't offer much anymore outside of a couple of checks a game. The Boss is the true heavy weight who has more skill then Martin and will probably take over his role next year
