Yeah I posted it yesterday, at least whatever he mentioned in the post-deadline 31 Thoughts. Not sure I love the idea of including Bellows.

Everyone on here as well.

That freaking debate about how much to pay Martin must have went on for a 1/2 year

I love the guy but at this stage of his career he doesn't look to drop them as much granted fighting is down league wide but he wants to be more of a hockey player which is fine if you have the skill . He doesn't offer much anymore outside of a couple of checks a game. The Boss is the true heavy weight who has more skill then Martin and will probably take over his role next year
- Vukota

Problem with Ross, there is almost no one in his weight class anymore.

Although Tony D would probably "try" to fight him. He got a screw loose

Ladd, Bellows and a 2020 1st for Parise and Koivu.

Yeah, that's a hard pass for me too.

Where did you see something about a 1st round pick?

Here's hoping line #1 plays as hard as they did against the Rangers. They were dominate.

Re: #Isles fourth line. In a second drill, Johnston skating with Koivula and Komarov while Martin is centering Ladd and Clutterbuck. In other words, stay tuned.

Friedman reported that this morning when interviewed on NHL91. Apparently Russo filled him in.

Deal fell apart when Koivu refused to waive/Ottawa accepted Lou's offer.

So Koivu was coming with Parise if he waived?

Yes.

I guess Koivu was Lou's answer to the 3C problem if he couldn't land Pageau. Once Ottawa accepted the offer, Minny lost interest because they wouldn't get a 2020 1st.

I'm confused though...was his first choice Koivu/Parise/ridding himself of Ladd over Pageau?

Sounds like Pageau was Plan A and Koivu/Parise Plan B. But negotiations with Ottawa and Minnesota were taking place at the same time.

Once Plan A succeeded, Minny lost interest in Plan B. They really wanted that 1st.

I thought the JGP deal was done before the Ladd Parise talk was out, am I wrong?
Or maybe after they landed JGP, they were still exploring getting Parise and dumping Ladd?
