“What an odd two goals for Boston.”

There’s nothing odd about a Bruin ramming a goaltender to take him out of position. The goal that deflected 25 feet out in front of Varlamov yeah that’s odd😂

Your D-man's stick took his skates out from under him. And your goalie was playing the man the entire way.

Wahlstrom looks like a bit of a project to me. He may be a couple of years away. I think what we really need is a true 35-40goal guy and they come at a high cost. Having dealt our 1st rd and next two years of 2nd rd picks, that won't happen by trade now. We know Hall isnt coming as a UFA, so that won't happen by UFA either.
As I say, I'm glad we have Pageau, he's been a good player this year (his past years have been underwhelming for the contract term) We just have to remember that we're betting heavy on Wahlstrom as a result of the cost

Unfortunately that seems to be the case. I’m really beginning to question what’s going on in Bridgeport(not exactly blaming Wahlstrom’s development on anyone). I don’t really have much faith in Thompson I have a feeling he may be gone after this season. I find it funny whenever posters in here come to his defense. There seems to be many but I’m not seeing an impressive record or development so I don’t really understand it.

I do not get the defending of Thompson either. Bridge always seems to be a mess and forwards especially seem to struggle.

Pens crapping the bed still. Would be nice if this team could finally turn a corner here and start playing consistent with a little urgency. We could actually still get home ice if we could rattle off some wins.

Yeah, I have wondered for a while who was more to blame...... Thompson for poor development? Or Snow for poor drafting? In other words, is it Thompson's fault that Ho Sang has not developed into a solid NHL forward? Or Snow for drafting a space cadet in the first place?

Or consider DalColle. He seems to be an adequate 3rd liner, but nothing more. Is that Thompson's fault? Or should Snow not have wasted a 5th overall pick on a guy who lacks elite scoring and/or skating ability?

Bellows wasn't just having issues in Bridgeport. He was not good at BU either, so he returned to juniors for another year.

I honestly don't know where I come out on this. There's no question that Thompson hasn't been a miracle worker with the forwards, but Thompson was reporting to Snow for most of his years, so I am inclined to give him an opportunity to work with the guys selected in the draft by a real GM.

No question Garth needs to get most of the blame. I'm just a fan of a new GM coming in and cleaning house and especially in the Isles case where they won nothing for years. I'm a fan of sometimes making a change for change sake.

Secret is out. I did post sometimes and not all the time.

I do find it interesting maybe MDC should not have been drafted that high and maybe even Bellows should have maybe went in the 2nd round? These players had very good offensive numbers when the Isles drafted them. At least MDC did for sure. It just seems like these forwards can do no better than 3rd line with the Isles. I know the jury is still out on Bellows. It's still a concern though. I understand the need for defense but the Isles do not want to be known as the place where offense died either. Maybe after another SO yesterday Barry needs to tweak the system a little?

You already have😂
One of them went back to junior and none of them can stick in the line up😂

I know some disagree with me on this and that’s fine but I would like to understand what their side is based on? He literally has done pretty much crap since he has been down there. Like I said in an earlier post I have a feeling his days are numbered.

You know the answer to this Cpt. We are only Isles fans on a hockey board and we are not GM's and coaches so we do not know about Thompson and the job he has done.

With this said wasn’t it reported that Lameriello’s kid saved Thompson from getting axed? So, Lou actually agrees with my sentiment so that’s where I’m getting Thompson’s days are numbered you have to think he’s on a short leash.

More importantly rooting for the Rangers today. Always makes me feel kinda sick.

I've got no problem with Lou finding a replacement for Thompson. I'm just not sure how much blame to assign to Thompson and how much to Snow.

You want the Rags to catch up to the Isles in the standings??? Go Flyers!

3-0 Flyers with 2 PP goals and a shorty. Flyers are certainly playing very well lately.

They’re six points back we would have to literally implode. If that happens we have no business being in the playoffs anyway. I would rather pass the Pens and catch the flyers and grab home ice. Maybe I’m aiming to high?😂

I think so.

Now for the age old question....... What time is it, boys and girls? It's 5 past Lundqvist!

I can't believe the way they are treating him. I know it's a business, but he was the face of the franchise for years.

It's a tough spot. Hank wanted to remain a Ranger and not move on.

They have 8.5 million reasons to encourage him to retire. Otherwise, he eats up that much cap space next season, too. For that kind of money, you'd hope you'd at least get a solid BACK-UP goalie. But he's 10-11-3 with a GAA of 3.12 and save % of .907. And he won't be any younger next season.

What? They have two goalies better than him and are the reason the team is 2 out of the wild card. They are supposed to give up the season for Hanks ego?

I cannot blame the Rangers at all. Hank did not want to be traded for the longest time and his time has passed now.

Exactly. We all love Hank, well most Ranger fans, but the game has moved by him. If the Rangers weren't this close to a playoff spot, sure, let Hank play every game and have a farewell tour.

Team comes first. Rangers honestly have handled this as well as possible. You have to go with who gives you the best chance to win.

Yes, that exactly what they should do. He should play every night for the rest of the season.
