I cannot blame the Rangers at all. Hank did not want to be traded for the longest time and his time has passed now.

I figured you'd talk about the length of his contract. You're losing your touch.

I'm more concerned with the Isles shooting blanks lately.

Yes, that exactly what they should do. He should play every night for the rest of the season.

Oysters. The answer is to eat a (frank) tonne of oysters.

Is that more or less than a metric ton?

I'm not sure it would even help the Isles. This team is all over the place. All I know is I'm not watching any series against Boston or the Canes. I'll never survive the series from the aggravation of the Isles not scoring.

Unfortunately that seems to be the case. I’m really beginning to question what’s going on in Bridgeport(not exactly blaming Wahlstrom’s development on anyone). I don’t really have much faith in Thompson I have a feeling he may be gone after this season. I find it funny whenever posters in here come to his defense. There seems to be many but I’m not seeing an impressive record or development so I don’t really understand it.

I watched Thompson work Charlie McAvoy and his son Tage out all summer long at ice works years before they were both drafted. I am not sure if that means anything as far as helping kids develop but they are both doing pretty well in the nhl.

I could care less if they got rid of him or not truthfully.. but it could be He is trying to get these kids focused on playing in a Trotz' type system, and where they are supposed to be at all times instead of constantly scoring. I know for a fact Bellows had a very tough time learning to play a 2 way style of hockey. He was told often.. We know u can score, but you have to learn to do all the things away from the puck too.... Bellows even said once he finally got comfortable doing what they wanted then he had to learn to score while not getting away from that play.

I think Whalstrom falls under that same category. They know he can shoot and score, but it might be taking time to learn the right way to play.

like I said.. I could care less if they fire Thompson or not at end of the year, but they may be using the AHL to drill Trotz' hockey into these kids instead of worrying about everything else. .. u know.. like friggin winning.

Saturday's game was a friggin embarassment. Retiring a guy's number, sold out arena and it was very very loud. Team did not score 1 friggin goal. This team needs to learn crash the net and shoot the friggin puck. The 5 passes in the O-zone each time is maddening. friggin hoosiers of Hockey. Shoot the friggin puck.

Yeah could be we’ve actually discussed exactly what you’re saying in this post. With that said they made the playoffs once I think and got shalacked since he has been coach. Posters have said well the league is structured differently when in reference to making the playoffs. To me that’s like saying we’re losing lately because the Barclays ice sucks. The same ice other teams play on when playing us😂

Losing culture breeds more losing imo. Just my two cents.

Lousy job to not show up like that and especially when retiring a Dynasty members number.

This team just does not match up well at all against teams like Boston and against teams like the Canes.

Team has to get back on track again. They still lack physicality as compared to earlier in the season and there’s not enough consistent, urgency to their game. We’ll get a period of excellent play and two periods of holding on to a one goal lead. That’s unacceptable. They have been in a pretty long lull imo. Teams go through these stretches my hope is they snap out of it and go in hot to the playoffs. That’s if they make the playoffs😂

The idea that this team is some gritty team is not true Cpt. They have a gritty 4th line when healthy. The top 6 especially shows very little signs they can score the deflection and crash the net type goals on a consistent basis. This is why the could not by a goal against the Canes last year. The Pens had no interest in playing defense and were the prefect team for the Isles.

Eh, the Pens always seem to be either the best team or the worst team, depending on which helps support an argument against the Isles

Defensively during that series they were the worst.

Offensively, they only scored a single goal in games 2, 3, and 4. It's amazing luck for the Isles that the Penguins were legit contenders four years ago, three years ago, two years ago, and this season...but from April 10 - April 16 last season they forgot how to hockey. It's definitely not because the Isles did one or two things right and played a solid series against a good team.
