Seems to be the 2020 Islanders in a nutshell. Create opportunities, fail to cash in. Give up one chance the other way and trail. One might say, "keep it up, the goals will come" but that really hasn't been the case lately

Yea can’t leave Panarin open weak side. We keep playing like we started and should be good.

But honestly that’s what they have to do. Can’t get down gotta just keep going.

Was one of the best periods they have played in a while. I would love for Trotz to keep our 4th line off the ice against the Panarin Line. Just not the same without Casey out there.

Why all the JB hate ? Guy has been great for us since we traded for him, and now is on the back end of his career. He may not be the player he once was, but we have a lot of kids on D, learning on the go. If we trade Leddy, I think JB becomes more valuable behind the scenes. Maybe I'm wrong ??

Good energy that period just cannot leave Fanarin alone like that.

Koivula, Martin, and Komarov are way too slow to keep up with that line

Yeah just not the shutdown 4th line we are used to.

Greene being down will be a big hit

Yeah, you felt it coming. So many chances and they couldn't score. You knew it was going to cost them. Lots of game left.

Yep. It's the continual problem of not being able to finish.
Now Greene is out and that one could be lengthy.

Definitely a major concern seeing him go shoulder first like that.

Yeah or maybe a wrist. Sucks if it’s a long term thing. Just bad luck the TD was yesterday

Every shot the Rangers take will be in the net and when will the Isles learn how to score these dirty simple goals?

Yes. that's what happens when they can't put the puck in the net.

None of this is Varlamov's fault, but goaltending has been the difference. Georgiev has been stellar

It's frustrating seeing other teams scoring these deflection and dirty goals and the Isles struggle to do the same.

Would be nice if we could clear the crease a bit. Brock and Ryan were pedestrian on that last goal
