Islanders would've been getting a player that's still pretty good and getting rid of Andrew Ladd's rotting corpse, all at a net increase of a whopping $2M and that's assuming that MIN wouldn't have retained any money on the Parise deal. That contract stinks for sure, but they would have been able to roll a third line of Parise-Pageau-Bailey which is pretty damn solid for a third line.

Not entirely sure what else they would've had to send with Ladd, but assuming it's relatively minor...that deal would have been good for the Isles.

lol, Vatanen, Skjei, and Trocheck is a pretty great deadline day. Also think Boston getting Ritchie and Kase was really good. Marleau and Sheary are not fantastic adds... And if he's grabbing Zucher in, what about Washington? They did very well adding Dillon.

I love coming to this site for a laugh the s@#t that eklund comes up with is absolutely histerical and the stuff he cresits himself for reporting is even funnier I was getting ready to go to sleep sunday night about midnight when sportsnet.ca alerted my phone od the green trade to edm and hockeybuzz has nothing on it when i went to sleep in the morn after check tsn and sportsnet i always look at what ellund has And he still hadnt updated the green trade on the little tracker he has but an hour later when it was finally updated he had him as the source for the trade absolutely great for a chuckle

obviously the leafs won, they got calle rosen back for hutchinson, some 30 year old guy called dorito, whatever a miikka salomaki is, a 5th rd pick, 1.1 million of robin lehner's contract to help vegas in the playoffs instead of the leafs and tyson barrie is still on the team. tremendous trade deadline day for leaf fans and the organization as a whole.
