Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Tuesday that Luis Severino (elbow) has been recommended for Tommy John surgery.
Brutal news for the Bombers. Limited to just 12 innings last season due to lat and shoulder issues, Severino came down with some forearm soreness during a recent bullpen session. Subsequent tests have confirmed the need for season-ending surgery. Odds are he'll also get a late start of the 2021 season, as well. It's just awful news all around. The Yankees could look for an outside addition at some point, but they are probably going to have to lean on some young arms to fill out their rotation this year.

Just keeps rolling from last year. Three of the OFers (less Gardner) are injury prone and we're down three starters right now, with one done for the season and one not back until his 62-game suspension is up. It's like we're the Mets. |

Well worth it. However-
Laviska Shenault, Colorado
How he helps Allen: Like Ruggs, Shenault can stack up yards after the catch, while doing so with a bigger frame (6’2″, 220 pounds). His strength and contact balance help him keep plays alive even in crowded areas. He’s more of a threat to win in contested catch situations while still showing enough speed to be respected by defensive backs down the field. His skills, strength and physicality would fit well as the complementary option to John Brown.
The case against Shenault for the Bills: To draft Shenault, the Bills would likely have to spend the 22nd pick, while plenty of similarly skilled players will still available. Where Shenault falters is with his footwork on routes; it’s inconsistent and often predictable for the defensive back. His release against press coverage and separation needs some coaching, though the hope is that it will come with time and experience. - TheSabresTaco
Van Jefferson is interesting also probably a 3rd round guy. Skinny big but runs the best routes in the draft. Would help Josh out alot too seeing how no one on the roster can run a simple slant. Peoples-Jones from Michigan is nice too just had horrible QB play. Both are similar to the kid from South Carolina you mentioned in that seems the college game uses bigger receivers in the slot more to get them easier releases. I think Jefferson and Higgins are second rounds guys solid but not special at anything played in prolific offenses. I like Mims out Baylor in the second and really like KJ Hamler but he is 5-9 like 170 but think Tyreek Hill. Ayiuk not sold on 1 yr of production would of been nice if he didn't miss senior bowl.Good players are gonna be there into 5th round so wouldn't mind going edge, cb or ot, then grab a guy in the 3rd and 4th. Shenault is a stud and don't be surprised after Ruggs runs a 4.2 that he passes Jeudy and Lamb.

My Dudes,
2 HUUUUUUUGE games tonight.
Leafs @ Lightning. Should be a smokefest.
Panthers @ Zona. Not 100% in love with this one and based on my analysis of RW's that I so eloquently laid out last night, I'm starting to think the Panthers are the biggest threat to a Sabres playoff berth.

Yesterday was a good day and offseason will be better. - SABRES 89
Agreed. As Homie said earlier, they are a better team today than they were yesterday. No more Bogo,, Sheary and EROD automatically make them better. I like the grit and leadership of Simmonds and Kahun seems to be a good fit for the middle 6.

Hamster is back and had lines up in his piece at WGR. Skinner and Simmer together. Exactly as the 3ER and the 3ER alone prognosticated. Fortunate for some, unlucky for others, the archive doesn't lie. |

6 - 2 Bolts.
Muzzin with a pair to celebrate his new contract. Anderson gets pulled after letting in 5 on 15 shots. Leafs nation goes bonkers. |

Whose to say he can’t get it done in the offseason ?
If anything I’d prefer it. Let the chips fall where they may with this team. If they make a push, good for them. If they fall flat on their face and we pick top 10, just as good.
Botts needs to address it this offseason no if’s ands or buts. I’d rather him make the deal though when everyone is willing to make a hockey trade and not when teams are all bracing for a playoff push and aren’t being rationale - Pegullaville
No where did I say it won't ever get done.
They were in on a perfect 2C, get it friggin done!
Don't wait, who knows if any will be available, and when.

Dominik Kahun isn't joining the Sabres for Tuesday's practice.
Buffalo acquired Kahun from Pittsburgh on Monday. He's expected to meet the Sabres in Denver ahead of Wednesday's game. It's also worth noting that he's been dealing with a lower-body injury, so it's not clear if he's healthy enough to play Wednesday night. - SABRES 89
He took a shot off the knee last Thursday. He skated warmups for the Pens in both games this weekend to see how it felt, but was scratched. The fact that he even dressed for warmups is a good sign, probably just sore/swollen. Hopefully he’ll be ready to go in lieu of Frolic. Need a solid effort against the Avs. |

Muzzin with a -5 to celebrate his new contract sounds more appropriate.

They've played well after a slower start.
Bogo playing in regular rotation for Bolts |

Bogo already a -2 - Pegullaville
1st goal he was on for wasn't on him, completely on otherside of ice with the breakdown.
Not sure about 2nd.
+/- on a small individual scale is worthless...over a season it pants an impressionistic picture |

Agreed, but he's been terrible all year and even outside of the goals, he's hurting the Lightning right now.
The worst part is, they probably had someone in the organization capable of playing those 15 minutes a night and having the puck go the right direction. Oh well. |
