Casey was his first 1st round draft choice
He needs him to work out IMO
From the sounds of it his game is developing much better in Rochester - Stripes77
Skinner has 2 goals since Mitts last scored for the Sabres. |

thanks only a few bucks....but still not what we deserve. i get it when ticket prices rise for the collective bargaining agreement but this is some shiz imo - tyler46
Some tickets went down to $24 for seasons.
The bite is reducing the Sabres bucks from 2.5 to 2.0
That is more insulting to me.
Why do this? You're spending that $ at pegula business's
Maybe they are finally going to be good and want to sell tickets at box office prices and charge real $ for concessions? |

1st draft pick.
IMO he should be traded.
No way he’s sneaked into the AHL. |

His value is basically at an all time low. He's a reclamation project. At this point I'd hold onto him and see if he can't finish strong in the last 20 Amerc games. |

This whole narrative needs to be revisited and people need to relax.
According to Chad who broke all the trades, he said the Sabres offer was better than what Carolina offered.
If the Florida GM didn't want to trade with someone they will be fighting for the last spot in the playoffs based on the new format how can Botts get the fault for that?
Had he not made an offer then be mad. He is clearly looking to upgrade the center position - Stripes77
I understand that not every trade can be made.
I also understand negotiations, and at times other factors push to pay more, or receive a bit less to entice the other side to close the deal.
While I appreciate the fact Botts is looking to acquire a 2C, it's a results business for him just like the on ice players...he didn't get it done.
IMO, Botts should have increased the offer as a recognized overpayment to acquire him.
Apparently going off what has been learned, he didn't offer Mitts, nor Tage, nor Larsson.
So, he may have had the best offer of players on the table, but other factors devalued that offer in the eyes of Tallon & company. Including Mitts might have gotten it done, without requiring something else back
It may be different than others here, but I view Mitts in the same light as Nylander...just not driven to succeed, so I don't have the same value on him as others.
That said, there are limits as well, like Cozens isn't in play |

Problem is he’s either on the Sabres next year or on another team.
No way he clears waivers to go to the AHL. |

I liked him as a fill in 2C and his contract is good but you don't overpay for him unless you're making a run - Stripes77
Depends on the over-payment.
No, I wouldn't offer Cozens, but Mitts...absolutely |

That's fine. They only have four forwards signed for next year. Gonna be a lot of open spots. I would rather have Casey on the third line and pay extra for a second liner than give Girgensons 3 million. |

Really? Is this a fact?
I saw yesterday on the news them reporting the mortality rate for the flue was I think 0.3% while the Coronavirus was at 2.1%
Individual number may be off, but the point was a significant difference. - IonSabres
Not sure about the Flu, but found this for comparison:
Coronavirus 2019-present:
83K+ confirmed cases so far
2% mortality rate
Ebola 2014-16:
28.6K cases
40% fatality rate
SARS 2002-03:
8K cases
10% mortality rate
MERS 2012-present:
2.5K cases
34% mortality rate |

What's your argument in regards to Krueger and nearly every player not named Skinner playing better than the previous two seasons, some having career years?
Clearly it's Krueger's fault that Skinner forgot how to play hockey after getting paid $9m. - adambuffalo
No, it’s Krueger’s fault his ice time and line mates are awful.
He has 12 goals, all at 5 on 5. He doesn’t play PP1 (the only unit who ever scores) or 4 on 4 or even 3 on 3.
Are you actually expecting him to rack up the assists with Vlad Sobotka, Johansson who has like 7 goals, Curtis Lazar and Evan Rodrigues? Guys who literally have never scored double digit goals in their career?
As far as career years, or playing better than the previous 2, how about Jimmy Vesey, Connor Sheary, Zach Bogosian, Dahlin, McCabe, Johansson etc. ? |
