I suggest everyone joins a debate team for a year. It's quite illuminating. - TheMussel

great bounce back 👍
now they can take Thursday off and have fun in the locker room 👍🏿
SO glad they didn’t trade perimeter willi and tyson barely for a heavy playoff performer dMAN🤦♂️
what a (frank)ing joke 🤦♂️
edit: nice alliteration 👍 - Skalapy

Exactly... exactly what you’d hope to get from a guy expected to play bottom pairing minutes at the league minimum salary. The fact that he even can step up and play those minutes when needed should be considered a bonus. - Dozzer
Absolutely. He is one guy who really shouldn't be getting any criticism. The Leafs have been very fortunate that he has been able to do as well as he has considering the status of the defense this year. |

You should never look up Tim Thomas. It might make your head explode.
We haven't come across the secret top pairing missing defenseman. But we have found a guy who can play 3/4 minutes when we need him to, and most comfortably slots in a 5/6 role very well. Having Justin Holl on your team isn't the liability you're making it out to be. - Monkeypunk
Ridiculous that some people don't realize this. The guy has been a huge bonus just by being reasonably competent for them this season.
The Leafs have had way bigger issues than Justin Holl ffs. |

And nobody is disagreeing with you... some think Holl can be a guy and some can’t.
Our problem is that your criteria of who has and has not proven themselves capable is pretty over generalized. - Dozzer

Yes, yes you should have.
2 points is 2 points last night. All that matters right now. Well if you want to see the leafs in the playoffs that is. |

Why isn’t he seeing this?
Using his argument nobody on the leafs except for Muzzin and Clifford has proven they can be part of a cup winner - Dozzer

Any updates on Muzzin?
That could be a huge loss... we don't need no stinking Marincin... |

i stated holl wasn't good enough because he wasn't good enough, dozzer stated like it was fact that holl would be a viable piece of a true contender which is actually his opinion because he has never actually done it. how can he be a viable bottom 6 guy on a true contender if he's never done it, never won a cup and is a marginal nhl defenseman at best? so it is of his opinion that holl can be viable piece to an actual contender not proven fact nor has it ever been stated or backed by any sort of legit nhl hockey expert. - ghetto puck
Holl was an even 0 in +/- with a career high of 25:49 TOI against the best offensive team in the league and you're arguing he can't handle bottom 6 minutes on a contender?
You are some kind of stupid that's for sure.
He's been much better than anyone would've imagined so why not just respect the way he has filled a void on an below average defense core. Especially with injuries..

I hope they call up Rosen and play him instead.
Sandin has had a couple rough games in a row. Hopefully he can get going again. |

All he does is take shots from the outside, that's why he has 0 goals. |

Leafs are judged differently than any other team. There are far worse guys than Holl on bottom pairs on contenders in the NHL.
I know we hear how pathetic Leafs D is every day, but Holl is solid. |

Lightning are no geniuses defensively and that D has holes in it. I also question if Hedman would have that same reputation in Toronto he does in Tampa. I have no idea how he was a Norris finalist last year and this year look sloppy as hell.
And Mcdonauggh is slow as molasses. Worse than Muzzin. |
