Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley for Boston have them beat. Nobody was worse than the Pens guys when Steigerwald did color commentary. Even Mike Lange, the former TV play-by-play guy, would correct him. Then Steigerwald took over the play-by-play duties and Bob Errey became the designated homer. - dashripdot

I hate homer broadcasting, hate when my teams get it all the same. Marty Lyons with the Jets on radio is like that. I get the ex player whose doing color will always be a tad homerish for his team but when it blatant bias and feeding the audience nothing but BS & just pumping up his team and giving no credit to the opposition it's so irritating. - B2B76
I love listening to Carl Banks do commentary on NY Giants football. He is brutally honest and as a former great player, actually knows what he is talking about. He will call guys out by name too.
All too rare in sports these days.

Spent some time chatting w/ Julien Gauthier today about the transition to NY. He grew up near Montreal & is pumped to play there.
Also sounds like he’s struck up a mentor relationship w/ Chris Kreider. Said his AHL coach used to cut video clips of Kreider for him to study. #NYR

Big deal. TPC has cut up video clips of Kreider too.
I would pay $1,000 for MSG to stop with the commercials that feature absolutely bizarre fans doing weird poop. I don't care about the mutant Ranger couple that had a Ranger-themed wedding, the pair of hipster artists that make terrible Islanders artwork or the fat kid that got an Isles logo shaved into his head, or whatever they have for the Devils. I think I even saw a Knicks one, but not positive. - eichiefs9
I'd like to stop seeing the commercial for conjoined twins every 15 seconds
I mean we can’t have the perfect team. Last night yea they gave up 45 shots, but they also broke up about 50 cross ice passes in the slot or near the net. Fox was amazing in that area
They’ve improved defensively. A lot of shots against are easy peasy ones too
The only thing that I’m getting annoyed at right now is Kakko. And I realize I may be being to hard on the kid - Slimtj100
I thought Kakko looked good last night. Was strong on the puck, made that great diving poke check and seemed engaged the whole night. He's still got a ways to go, but I do think he's progressing and the flashes of talent are there. It's just a matter of putting it all together. Keep in mind that with the schedule the way it is, these guys hardly practice during the year. He has a huge offseason coming up in that regard.
I think you mean Nelson. Leddy chased down Panarin and stopped him from having a breakaway. Nelson completely forgot about picking up the trailer. - eichiefs9
He skates right past the cluster(frank) of players and the puck tho🤷🏻♂️

A little, sure...but he literally prevented the Rangers best player from having a breakaway. Weak side guy needs to be paying attention and picking up the trailer and that one was on Nelson, who just got caught admiring the puck too much instead of picking up his man.
If Nelson stays home in the high slot he's going to pick off that pass and either have a scoring chance going back the other way or they'll have possession and can get fresh legs out there. Beauvillier shoulders some of the blame for a) turning the puck over and b) not doing a better job of tying up Panarin and letting him chip that pass out to the middle of the ice. But I think Leddy gets the least blame of the three of them in this instance.

I think some players still have a tough time in these 3 on 3's in OT, not playing traditionally. It's a whole different game out there with so few players out there.

Well he reminded me of Skjei, so congrats haha
All 3 guys we’re pretty bad. I’ll give you leddy getting back, but Panarin is a magician

The Islanders have actually been mostly lights out in OT this year. Beau turning that puck over was unfortunate and it led to them missing out on the 2nd point. Beau and Nelson have combined on nearly every OT winner this year, too. poop happens I guess.

Islanders may be the best team ever at pulling the goalie and tying it up, they are incredible at it
