Yea plus not having Buch, Shesty and Kreider really shouldn't have played. But they had no other forwards available last night. I will take the 2 points and move on

Yeah, more the game against the Shark, but they did play a b2b and had to travel. Just want to see the team have a convincing win and not get outshot 48-15

I don't think our schedule is easy, but there aren't many games where I look at it and say we are probably losing that game. We have the Blues and Caps coming up, but who else is really daunting? The Flyers games look a little tougher than a couple weeks ago, but the Pens and Avs look easier. Even that game against the Lightning, it's possible by then their seeding has been set and we might be able to catch them resting guys. They've also lost 3 straight and are possibly cooling down after being a buzzsaw for a solid month.

The schedule is brutal, have to travel to Montreal then travel to Philly the next night while Philly doesn't play again till us. Going to be a huge test

I like this though - the only caveat being the flu bug isn’t hitting them right now. It’s been rumored for a while, and Staal and now kreider have missed time for being sick.

But, with the way they are playing now I want this team on the ice. Not sitting for days on end.

I said this before the season, as the youngest team in the league and a team that's on fire, I want the team to be playing a ton of games now. I think part of the reason in our surge is that it feels like we have been playing every night. I think momentum is a real thing here.

you could have am epilectic seizure if you stare too long a t the chart

Missing 2 top pieces & fight to win after, as fast a paced game as ive seen in a while

If the spirit is matching the talent we got something to work with , this new level of play coming up to the P O's is one thing ,making the tourney is another level, the youth seems to like the new level of play needed to keep winning

D philosophy : keeping the opponent on the outside ,allow alot of shots but dont give up the high quality in the slot shots that scores more than perimeter, I dont care how many shots they take ,its the quality i worry about ,we have been limiting high grade opps more & more , part of winning is the lil things that add up ,getting the wins is what matters .

Trouba played a different game with Smith (solid) and as said was one of his best

Fox/Lindgren ,better all the time

The refs were atrocious in that game. First off if a skater has his head down it doesn't mean you can hammer him. Trouba had plenty of time to avoid the hit. He knew what he was doing. The reason the NHL isn't reviewing is because the refs called nothing. It would look really bad if they said we are going to look at this and then give him a 1-2 game suspension. It would look as if they didn't do their job (which they didn't). Then to give a 10 minute misconduct to Pageau was ridiculous. 17 minutes? That is more than he has had in any game of his career.

Then on the disallowed goal, that might have been the weakest goalie interference call of all time. Lee is standing outside the crease getting hit by goalie and dman. Outside the crease is his space, not the goalies. He didn't back in. Look again closely. It was the dman's stick that pushed the goalie backwards, not Lee's. Lee's stick is facing center ice. Any interference was caused by the dman, not Lee. I am not saying the Isles would have won 4-3 because they most likely play for 1 point towards the end instead of pressing for the tying goal but to say the refs didn't have a major role in the outcome of this game is a joke.

LOL

I don't know how anyone can dispute that MDC doesn't lower his head slightly and look down right before the hit

Hasn't like the past several decades of the league disproven that? People have made careers by doing just that and guys like Lindros have had careers ended because they couldn't keep their head up.

I'm all for making the game safer, but I'm not sure in that particular instance I would have given Trouba anything more than 2 minutes for elbowing. It was bit of a bang bang play and if MDC keeps his head up, probably looks like a nothing play.

Agree with your goalie interference, but you are way off base about the hit. It was a text book clean hit.

Pageau got the penalties for going after a guy after a clean hit. It happens to every team.
