As someone who is below the media cutoffline below Trenton, I want to know which guy. They are all pretty insufferable. The only positive is when they had to have Clement fill in.

The best thing about having satellite is Directv doesnt carry the Philly sports channel. I don't have to hear those announcers anymore

i remember my dad would always say "clement clement hands of cement" lol

and it was the color guy.

seemed like he would screammmm AND A SHOTTTTTTT and every puck thrown on net

Nah comcast has turned Clement into a total homer now, he is almost as bad. He was good back on his ESPN days

I think you are talking about Jackson and he's the play by play guy. I know all the teams are homers, and of course Edwards is the worst, but it's funny when a call would go against the Flyers. You'd hear a 5 minute crying session about it every time lol.

I think the Capitals guys are the worst. I don't understand how more people don't complain about them, they're atrocious.

Canes schedule is nasty the rest of the way

Next 7 games

Home vs Avs
@Habs
@philly
@isles
@pens
@devils
@redwings

3 other games vs Pittsburgh and 2 vs Boston

20 games, only 6 vs teams under .500

Granted rangers have tough games also, but I really like our chances of beating them out

Because people only care about the Caps because of Ovechkin. Yeah, they sucked too the few times I've heard them. Kinda surprising because I actually liked Benanti on Versus and was sorta bummed NBCSN didn't keep him, though it's like on Caps broadcast the switch is flipped to being awful.

I know you'll probably disagree with me on this because he'd be your boy, but Potvin is a total meathead on Panthers broadcasts.

I only saw the last 10 minutes of the game and I haven't read through all the comments yet, but has anyone mentioned the Rangers' absolute inability to win one god-damned faceoff? Both Islanders goals at the end came from faceoff losses. The team really needs to address this, I can't understand how they are this bad.

if you had told me two weeks ago that the Rangers and Carolina would be this close battling for a playoff spot and also make two significant trades with each other I would have told you that you are nuts

Listening to Butch last night was tough to endure. After the OT, Butch tried to alibi that the puck "took a strange bounce off the boards" to Zibanejad, when it was Panarin who was able to get to Zib, uncovered in the slot.

I definitely noticed it, it's one of their biggest problems and contributes heavily to them not having the puck a lot

Butch is out of his mind, I was watching them on the Trouba hit and he was absolutely freaking that Trouba left his feet before the hit when the camera angle that the Isles broadcast was showing clearly showed he didn't

Also really need to cover the point either quicker, or don't drop down so far. The point men for the Isles were open all night long

there's been some bad ones sure - but they really put that in the rearview so i'm not going to get hung up on 1. they'll lose more.

but hey - we've already got 40% of our EK projected points total for post deadline after 1 game lol

I don't look at those games, we stole a couple games in the new year that for sure we should have lost, so it all evens out. Besides, the loss to Buffalo doesn't mean anymore than say the two inexplicable loses to the Sens or the meltdown on Black Friday. They were all losses and all in some degree are haunting us.

one more thing about that Buffalo loss, they were down 3-0, and ever since then, they came back and made it 3-2 and made it close, they've been playing great hockey

I still think back to that loss to Columbus where Bjorkstrand or whatever his name is scored in the last 30 seconds to win...still pissed me off, first time I yelled at the tv during a Rangers game in a few years

I left that building feeling like the season was lost after that one
